OK, I feel I have a right to have some input.......
I just got home from work and got a chance to read this thread, all I can say is unbelievable. I don't even know where to start. I am the person that got the FAKE one piece Purpleheart Sugartree from tman561, my name on AZ is CO Nineballer. I aquired the Sugartree along with a Josey Cue (not fake) from Mark T. (tman561) in a trade deal for a really nice Kikel. I honestly believe at the time of the trade, Mark had no idea that the cue was not a true Sugartree and I also assumed it to be authentic as I had no reason to think otherwise. Once we did the cue deal and I had the Josey and Sugartree in hand, I offered the Sugartree for sale here on AZ and sold the cue to OHPlayer for the price of $625. About a week after he received the cue I received an email from him stating that he wanted to return the cue as another AZ'er had contacted him and informed him that he was sure it was a fake Sugartree....of course my first thought was that I didn't know OHPlayer at all and I questioned his reasons behind his thoughts. He sent me copies of correspondence he had with Eric Crisp stating that the cue was indeed a counterfit, but I being maybe a little over cautious contacted Eric as well and sent him the pictures I had taken to sell the cue. Eric got back with me very promptly and let me know several reasons why he knew this was a fake and not one of his cues. Now, this put me in a bad place because in my opinion the only way to be successful in selling cues is to have a 100% feedback on this forum, there is a lot of trust involved to make this a viable forum to purchase/sell billiard related items. I did immediately refund the $625 to OHplayer as I felt he obviously had no fault in this and he shouldn't be out for something that I sold that was not the real thing wether I knew it or not. I am also working with tman561 to get $575 refunded from him which we both felt was a fair deal to both of us. (Just getting all the facts out there). I guess my questions or statements are:
Danutz - The 5 month return question is irrelevent in the fact that tman561 nor myself even knew it was a fake until it was confirmed by Eric once brought to our attention. I am not being so bold as to come out and say you are trying to scam anyone, but if you were on the other side and looked at all of the evidence, you too would certainly have to be sceptical at the least. It is pretty unfortunate if you truly are caught in the middle of this situation and are not at fault, but I think you could learn from all three of the latest parties that are involved, myself, tman561, and OHPlayer. Do what makes this right and refund the money that you sold the cue for and if you really did get taken on all of these cues, then do what you have to do to get your money back. The fact that you ended up with all of the "questionable" cues, you must have access to this person and could confront them about it. If you feel you have any "VALID" points or substantial proof that you are not at any fault, please feel free to PM me and I will call you directly or even set up a confernce call between yourself and other said parties to hear your side of it. In the meantime, all things seem to be pointing to you as the culprit. The fortunate thing about this great country is the freedom of speech and the right to defend yourself. Please feel free to do so, and CLEAR YOUR NAME!!!!
I wish you good luck in doing so and hope you have the morals to do what is right regardless if you are unlucky or not.
