With all the bickering about Diamond versus Gold Crown pool tables, now comes the pool table of the furture that enters the fray. It's a Toulet. I'm not sure how you pronounce it, but I hope it's not like "toy-let." :embarrassed2:
The company, Billiards Toulet, was founded in 1857, so they've been around for a while.
Six designers worked extensively on the choice of materials, harmony of form, and quality of the luxurious table. It is fully customizable with a wide range of color and finishes.
This steel and resin table looks like it came straight out of "Battlestar Galactica."
The classic green felt is, instead, replaced with solid black cloth. :yikes:
The webbed underside of the table serves as the ball return. Hmm, I wonder if this eliminates the problem of balls hanging up in the rails.
The table features internal lighting and an integrated jukebox. You can also connect your iPhone or iPod to the table to enjoy music.
This table was recently launched at the Maison and Objet showin Paris. Everything about this table seems luxurious and cool, until you get to the price: EUR 24,900 (about $34,800).:shocked2:
I wonder what the playability is on this Toulet. I think I'll stick with the Diamond and GCs. The price of these seem like a bargain now.
