It's a new year " hercek cue 2012"

Hercek

Happy New Year to you Charles! Great pick up, love the hope butt, and the box work.

Charles, congrats to both you and Joel on such a fantastic cue !! A month earlier and this could have easily been a strong offering in the cue of the year thread. I certainly expect to see it in the 2012 thread also..

Those double boxes remind me of a few cues that Craig Petersen made back in the day.....he was the first guy I had ever seen do that kind of treatment with maple windows.

Overall an extremely sharp look to this cue.....transcending old and new schools. Love all the inlays, their placement, joint rings, etc. That appears to be his big pin.....man, with the bumperless butt that should be a nice crisp hitter !! Can't say enough good things about this cue. Simply stunning.

Happy New Year.
Sean

That is the nicest Hercek I have personally ever seen. I may ask you to design my next cue. Awesome, and congratulations!

Hercek Cue 2012

Troy, GA9BALL, Phil, Tbon 21, Chris, Sean, and Braden. Thank you for the compliments on the cue. Joel deserves all the praise, he built it, I paid for the cue. Hopefully I didn't miss anyone's name, if I did thanks to you also. Happy New Years's to everyone.

Braden
You need to contact Joel for a design on your next cue. I had very little to do with the design.

Sean
Thanks for the info on the double boxes. I have never seen these type of boxes used in a cue until Joel showed me the design. I can't stop looking at the inlays, they are perfect and so different, thank you Joel

Regards
Charles

Another

Another Masterpiece by Joel. The best thing is it will play as good as it looks.Congratulations a great way to kick off your year!

Hercek 2012

Scratch, Jeff, Chris, Franko,Lawman888 Thank you for the kind compliments on the cue.

For everyone who wanted to know:
I played with the cue today for approx 90 minutes. This is cue #3 from Joel and by far the best player of the three. The cue has the flat face ivory 3/8 x 10 pin. Yes the cue does play as good as it looks. All who play with one of Joel's cues already know this. Great action transferring energy from the cue ball to object ball. It took me about ten minutes to make my adjustments to aiming, stroking, and speed of the cue ball using inside english on three and four rail position shots. Looking forward to spending more table time getting to know the cue. Happy New Year and thanks again Joel

I agree, and what also stands out is the QUALITY of the wood used too...you can just tell it is of the finest stock

"Now up to bat, all-star 3rd baseman, JOEL HERCEK"

"The wind up. The pitch..... and......"

"HE KNOCKS IT OUT OF THE PARK!! FOLKS THAT IS GOING OVER THE PARKING LOT AND INTO THE BAY!! OH MY, BAAAAYYYYY-BEEEEE!!!!"

You just nailed it with that comment on the quality of the wood.I have been in Joels shop and was very impressed with the time and care he takes with aging the wood before using it. This is very important , and really adds adds to the quality of Joels cues.I really believe this is a major factor in what seperates top tier cuemakers from the rest of the pack.

Joel has taken a simple, classy, yet elegant design
and made it sizzle. This cue exudes quality...Congratulations Charles!

Very nice gift to yourself Charles. I like everything about your design, right down to the bumperless Hoppe style end. Thank you very much for sharing it. Rod. Happy New Year to you and Joel.

What a phenomenal piece of work. Stunning. The double boxes are a very sweet...and unique...touch.

Congratulations on a fantastic acquisition.

Can't wait for the day when my "number" comes up.

Mark <---a year or two away...or so I hope

Wow! On top of everything else, I really love the veneer color combination!
