I'll share my favorite lucky shot. I watched two players play a race to 9 for $500 back in the 90s. The lucky player made a comeback from down 8-1 and got it all the way back to 8-8. One game for the cheddar!
He ran down to the 9 and got below it so he had to back cut it in the corner. Well, he cut the 9 at the pocket and it hung up, almost fell, but somehow hung. Meanwhile the cue ball went three rails dead for the corner, tapped it in, and hung deep, deep in the jaws. Boom!
I always thought it was funny because if the 9 ball had wobbled in he would've scratched, and if he hadn't been on the way to a scratch the 9 would've remained hung up. Sometimes two wrongs do make a right!
