Man, KT is going to play that one to the hilt. I'm sure he will spin it as a "personal deal, ya know, just between us billionaires, that certainly couldn't go on after, Mr. Ho, my good friend, confidant, and personal mentor passed away unexpectedly, gawd rest his soul." That way he can insulate himself from Ho's survivors denying there ever was a deal in the works.

Man, I really hope that it wasn't an e-mail from Bernie that did him in.

I couldn't find anything online regarding this. When exactly did it happen and are you 100% sure this is the same "Ho"?

Cannot confirm, due to language barrier. Maybe i am wrong. If so, sorry for my error.

So sorry, I got egg on my face. Wrong man named Ho, same age and prominent businessman in China.

JAy posted in his last thread that he was trying to confirm because of the language barrier and that if he was wrong then he was sorry........mike

Damn, son! What flurry of activity that spurred :) Thanks for the shakeup.

I recall some line from a movie, describing some really fat man as having "move chins than a Chinese phone book" -- could be the same phenomenon here. :D

<<Wrong man named Ho, same age and prominent businessman in China.>>

Too funny! In China, Ho is a common as Smith or Jones here. Actually, I am relieved in an ironic sort of way. If THE Stanley Ho had just died, that would actually be one hell of an excuse for the IPO being delayed.

Travel safely!

Regards,
Jim

Thanks Jay for confirming. Heck...no worries, we all make mistakes and I had a hell of a time with French and Russian in high school and college, wouldn't even think of trying to decifer Chinese.

What the Fok, Jay, you had the wrong Ho! LOL And I hope that is the only time you get the wrong ho! :p

I've checked a couple of the papers from China that come out in English and none of them corroborate your story that Ho died today. Wouldn't it be in every paper? The only person of note that died was Henry Fok from Hong Kong.

I'll make you some Chinese food -- I just got my newest Chinese cookbook, 101 Ways to Wok Your Dog

rackmsuckr...<<The only person of note that died was Henry Fok from Hong Kong.>>

And he might have died as a result of saying Fok You to Mr. Ho.

Almost as many HO's in CHINA as CHIN's. It is said that the HO's have a higher mortality rate due to rampant, unprotected, bare-back rodeoing.

I Deleted a whole bunch of Fok jokes....
