John, You're far denser than I give you credit for. In another thread, you've admitted that you're an "asshole in public," for which I don't think anyone would dispute.

Mr. Wilson has already indicated what the results of the poll would be: "If it was a contest, vote people off the island as has been mentioned....you would have been gone a very long time ago as I have received more complaints about YOU than maybe any other single user in my tenure."

So ban yourself, JB. You really won't be missed.

But I have to admit I enjoy some of the arguing.....
..ad hominem isn't so bad if y'all retain your sense of humor.

I'm not quite a 'nay sayer'....I come from golf where many training aids
developed better golfers. I just think they shouldn't be taken into battle.

I feel that 'aiming', 'banking', and 'kicking' systems are too simplistic for
for high level play...there are subtleties in this great game that they
can't account for.
One shouldn't go to a duel with a training sword...it might be your last
duel.
But many methods can give you information that can fine-tune your
instincts.

Combine knowledge with the imagination of a Reyes and the ferociousness
of a Strickland and you would have a truly great player.

Let me try again with a little longer explanation.

I shot pool for 15 years using the hit a million balls method. Working on cue ball control. I got to the point where I knew how to spin the cue ball, stun the cue ball, draw the cue ball, and place it on a piece of paper from just about anywhere.

Only in play I would often miss the shot but get perfect shape or make the shot and miss the shape.

When I learned to aim better I noticed that my shape improved dramatically.

The reason is because when I felt 100% confident that I was on the right line I could focus then on the cue ball 100% and I could see the path much better. Now I am no longer afraid or unsure where the cue ball is going and I can move it into much tighter areas much more consistently.

Is that better?

Sorry to say it is not your aim that made you shoot or get better position, many people think that, but the truth is once you know where to aim, aim becomes natural and because you know where OB, and CB is going for sure, then position and pocketing becomes automatic

Actually, it's people like you that should be banned. You are constantly stirring up shit. Don't you ever get tired of it? This has been a decent thread but you're just here to muddy the water. Sheessh.

Or at least start posting something that can be of benefit to other pool players.

Well you have the answer. Make a poll, me or you. If me then I go if you then you go. I bet I will be missed far more than you will.

Of course Wilson receives complaints about me. When people like YOU can't get to me with your incessant personal attacks you can't do anything but complain to the mods.

You want the right to attack me whenever and wherever and however you please but don't want to allow me to defend myself against those attacks.

Once again, you have contributed NOTHING at all to this thread that is on topic. Nothing.

JB, I see that you're up to 60+ postings in this thread now. That shouldn't surprise anyone given that you've been arguing with people like Lou F. and everyone else for over 9 years now on aiming systems. Nine years -- What a colossal waste of time arguing over something so trivial.

You're so insecure that you consider every difference of opinion from anyone to be a personal attack. You need to see a shrink for your OCD. Until then, we'll all here to help you. :)
 
There are very few things I despise.

The biggest is when someone dishes it out, but can't take it and then goes crying home to mama.

The next are bullies. The only way to deal with them is to get in their face and not just sit back.

When bullshit remarks are made about me, I will speak up in a manner I fill fit and I give a rats ass if it within the forums guide lines.

When the forum guide lines are not equally applied, it really does a disservice to the value of the mods.
 
just a tip

There is a wonderful little thread tool called unsubscribe. Since we are automatically subscribed to a thread by default when we post I find it handy when I am done with one. Saves clutter at user CP.
