I don't remember if it was open around the clock or not. Thats the first place I had seen a three cushion billiard table. I don't know who it was but there was a guy there that played 3c real well. He shot five in a row for me and told me his record was 9 in a row. I believe this place was just north of lakeside amusement park next to I-70 on Tenison street. By the way cool billiard bio Scott.:thumbup:

An old variation on this one...... Ill give you a dime for all the nickles you can stand on their edge.......
There are so many proposition bets out there, its amazing anybody falls for any of them any more.
Just remember the old Damon Runyon quote....
"One of these days . . . a guy is going to show you a brand-new deck of cards on which the seal is not yet broken. Then this guy is going to offer to bet you that he can make the jack of spades jump out of this brand-new deck of cards and squirt cider in your ear. But, son, do not accept this bet, because as sure as you stand there, you're going to wind up with an ear full of cider." ;)

When someone wonders what you're doing, you say that you bet them that you can drop the match and have it land on it's edge. You drop the match a couple more times (and it never lands on it's edge). Then you bet the person that you can throw the match up in the air and have it land on it's edge at least two out of three times. When they agree, you simply bend the match into a "V" and throw it onto the table. Now, it will almost always land on the edge.

Cuebuddy...Nope, that's not the place I was thinking of. Now that I think back, it was called The Brass Rail, and definitely off I-25, around 56th St. I guess I never made to the Velvet Rail! :(

TheBook...Maybe I posted the wrong link (sorry), but I know Anton solicited what he called "gotcha" bar bets, from readers in the pool mags a few years ago (maybe more than a few years ago! :eek:...time flies). You'd get a vhs video that he made, of trickshots, for giving him a "gotcha"!
