For all I know, you play at a pro leve. But what I do know is that based on your posts, you say one minute that you are a mediocre player. Then next minute, you are going on the road to challenge anyone and everyone, and when questioned, you willingly admit that the first may have just been a smokescreen.

So, by my calculations, either you got caught telling two conflicting stories to the same crowd = foolish.

Or, you really are a good player who exposed his own "hustle" = foolish.

And as the saying goes, 'a fool and his money are easily parted!'

Heck, after that line he'll probably stop in at a Bass shoes outlet and buy some topsiders for $50, head on over to Polo and snag a shirt or two and a nice pair of slacks, pick up a Budweiser cue and slip on a custom shaft and clean y'all out... Or maybe he'll buy a really high end cue, a cheapie sneakie for breaking, and stuff it in a soft case and mosey down to the poooool hallllll....

If you are going to be a REAL Road Player, you need a good FASCIAE. I would start with Wal-Mart Cue with them Reflective Sticky Decals like a Dragon, or some other Goofy Symbol, and get your self one of them El Cheapo Cue Cases to Carry your Prize cue in. Leave all your good Cue home, and carry the minimal thing like a Peace of Sand Paper & Willard are. Also get a good Yip put on your Wally World Cue, and learn to use it real well before starting your trip, as you now have part of you Disguise...

I couldn't help but notice you living in Montana, and you are a short drive from my hometown of Calgary. Assuming your serious about hitting the road (I have my doubts;) ) I know several players here in town that would be interested in your money...err...uh.. action and would be easy money (1k sets and up) for a great player such as yourself:D

(Internet's been down the last day) :( This kid you know (who's hard of hearing), is he the kid in South Dakota who made it onto the IPT tour? I'll play him.

I will be wearing a black t-shirt that says "Mrpool" on the front, you all can locate me that way. I will post here from my laptop, letting people know of my location.

I'm not really leaving my wife, just taking a month off from work, hitting the road with my pool cue (& making some $$$$).

I will take on any of those bangers in Lakewood Washington, should be there early July.
 
All I can say is GOOD LUCK and bring plenty of dough. It's pretty tough out there. I think I would ask the boss for a leave of absence rather than just up an quit. Don't burn your bridge with your wife either. Tell her you are going to seek your fortune and you will do your best to bring back as much cash to her as you can.
