Ivory Joint cue

How much will it cost normally for a basic 4 pts with 3 or 4 veneers with ivory joint and 2 shafts with ivory ferrule cost? can be by any makers...looking for price range...thank you!:)

interested in makers like scruggs, jensen ,nitti ,gilbert, etc

A great playing cue for a reaonable price. I think you are in the $1100 range for a SS joint. Ivory is usually $150 to 200 extra.
 
It really depends on who's making the cue. You've listed some top-notch cuemakers and are probably in the $1,000 to $1,600 range. This would be a good question for cuemakers in the cuemakers forum, though. You will find some that make superb, quality cues for less than that. I have one ordered from John Davis (Burton Spain partner) with full splice, four veneers, ivory joint in the top of that range. Good luck! :p

When are you getting yours? I went to his shop a few weeks ago. He had a few almost done. I picked up a blank for Sailor and I'm getting another one soon for Ed Young to tinker with.
 
I think the range for those makers would be more like $1,400 - $1,800. If you want lizard or leather wrap, add some more. My estimate on the ivory ferrules and joint would be add $250 over standard.
 
there was a gilbert that sold here i think it was yesterday with an ivory joint 4 points. sold for 1000, i think it was cueaddicts posted that it'd be in te 1200 neighborhood brand new
 
Well ....

with 3 or 4 veneers is going to up the price. Going to 4 veneers or more for a cuemaker is a 'step', and thus increases complexity and price. I think you are talking in the $1,400-$1,800 range for a good cuemaker, but not a highly sought after one.

2 that come to mind would be Bob Owen (Shurtz) or Jeff Olney.

I'm looking for mine sometime in May. Can't wait! Sailor and Young working on John's blanks should be awesome! I just wanted John to do the whole cue, he's such an incredible piece of history, and it should be super. I'll post up when received. :p
