I'm in the UK and started out playing a bit of snooker, but I'm going to be playing mainly American pool starting in the near future - 8 ball, 9 ball, 10 ball and 14.1, which looks very interesting to me indeed.
I've played 8 ball and 9 ball with a snooker cue (10mm tip) and although it may not be ideal I can get along with it for now. Not for breaking or jumping, though. Since I'm pretty new to the game, and on a budget, I'm looking for a break/jump cue in one without spending too much cash. This is the best I've come up with so far:

This J&J doesn't look too bad to me, has a phenolic ferrule/tip and is wrapless, which I'd prefer.
Really, I'm looking for any advice on whether this cue is any use, if anyone's tried one and if it would help me at all. Is 20oz maybe a little heavy for a break cue?
Thanks in advance knowledgeable pool people!
