JA calls out American players

Basically it is faulty logic to assign the tag of not serious to one just because they are not at ONE tournament.

As I said if JA rethinks what he said, I think he would retract or reword what he said.

Omniscient aren't you.

Guess you don't. You never missed a ball from behind the keyboard have you?

I have no need to get or be better.

You on the other hand or in great need...

but unfortunately... you seem to be beyond the help of anyone but God.

You don't even know what the word THINK means.

How have you survived to live so long?

If you keep this up no one will ever even consider taking a pool lesson from you.

I know you do not realize this but you are showing & making quite clear what you are...

or I guess I should say you're making it quite clear what you are not...

And everyone can make their own determinations in that regard.

I don't play pool from behind a keyboard.

I also do not try to associate intelligence with pool playing ability.

I also never try to change the meanings of what I was saying.

You've completely derailed this thread with your nonsense.

Why don't you go to sleep before someone sees you for what you really are?

Tell you what, go ahead and tell Johnny what you "Think"

See what he "Thinks" of it.

I hope it is clear what I am, and doing, calling out a keyboard warrior!!

Nah, just calling out your nonsense.

That could be but what specific individual are we talking about.

No one knows why any individual may be skipping this event. Maybe their wife, girlfriend, or sister is expecting to deliver & they want to be there to support them.

Others may have other issues, perhaps MONEY. Maybe a court date. Whatever.

To call them not serious is as he did say only IN HIS OPINION.

As I said, I think if he would rethink what he said & the implications he might retract it or reword it.

That is just my opinion.

Best 2 Ya.

I highly doubt it in fact that maybe the sugar coated version ., someone needs to have some nuts instead of a pull string ,

Nah, just calling out your nonsense.

Me stating my opinion regarding the subject of this thread is not in any manner nonsense.

Your simple statement trying to throw it on me will not fly with anyone that has eyes that can see...

and this forum has thousands of individuals that have eyes that can see...

and a number of them have seen just what you are & what you are not.

SVB didn't take kindly to JAs post, and pointed out that he's interested in World Titles.

Bergman and Sky also weren't pleased in the thread either.

Personally, it came off as whining when JA went on and on about behind the scenes stuff the last couple years regarding Mosconi. My thought...."pot meet kettle"

More truth in that than many know or care to know.;)

Is Archer going to commit to playing professional pool again and actually get back into full time international competition so he can compete with the professional European players who play all the world class events?

Or is he "just" going to play the MC points events trying to get his way onto the team but not really try to be a world class professional player again by playing in the World 9-ball, World 10-ball, China Open, Japan Open, and the rest of the world class events that draw out the most elite fields?

Are we going to end up with a SVB Facebook post stating

"where the heck is Johnny Archer, I am at the World 9-ball Championships here with Darren, Niels, Nick VDB, Karl, and Albin and we cannot find Johnny... Where the heck is he? I thought he was committed to competing in the Mosconi Cup? Not just trying to get a spot on the team by playing part time pool... Does he know he has to compete against these guys who are actually here playing world class pool against world class fields?"

I am all for Johnny trying to make it to the Mosconi Cup, but to do that he should be committing to being a full time touring pro like the Euros. If he actually "does" that then he is probably not only a shoe in for the team but he might actually be battle hardened again and ready to win come December.

Before you call Johnny a hypocrite and question his commitment to American pool, try naming another of the "great" American players who took on an actual protege and tried to preserve the pool bloodline in this country.

Tragically, things didn't workout for Coltrain, but Johnny did his part.

Fine time we live in when a man regardless of anything is not free to voice his thoughts. American player since JA and them have no "love of country" in them, it's all about the bragging right of being picked and in the points along with collecting the win or lose paycheck. The EUR take it serious i'm sure and would want to win that thing just for pride regardless of payout.
JA said how he feels at the time that he felt and thanks to social media he can voice this to a bigger group, when is the guy getting shot down for it, worst have been said right here by less qualified people, maybe he should of made a thread.

Freedom of speech does not guarantee freedom from criticism. JA has -- and used -- the right to speak his mind. Everyone on this thread -- regardless of whether they agree or not -- has the same freedom to say what they think about his statement.

Personally, I like what he said. If nothing else, maybe it will light a fire and create some good, entertaining rivalry between players fighting for spots on the MC team.

You have to admit thats kind of funny

I also like what he said. He voiced publicly what a lot of us have already discussed when the Turning Stone lineup came out-where are the ones we're counting on to carry the USA hopes in the Cup? My opinion; I don't think JA's comments were intended for SVB and Cory, as we all knew where they are. They were certainly intended for Bergman and Woodward, who are supposed to represent the young up and comers. I'm sure they knew there would be some eyebrows raised at their absence. Our coach ought to be asking the same questions.

At least this whole Mosconi thread hasn't involved Dechaine for once :p

BTW, it appears JA has pulled his Facebook post. At least I couldn't find it just now

I wonder how hard people would fight to get on the team if Mosconi Cup wasn't a guaranteed paycheck.
