I can't wait! I will be driving directly through Raleigh to get there tomorrow.
Ditto about the NC part.... Raleigh has a ton of pool halls... I am not sure about Jacksonville. I know there are alot of incredible players in that area. Wilmington has some good pool halls. If you are ever stop by Raleigh, hit me up... I bartend at a college pool hall.

Welcome to NC. I was stationed in J-Ville some time ago, but didn't play much pool back then. I am in Raleigh now and Brass Tap here in Raleigh has a big tournament about 3-4 times a year, which you just missed the last one. : http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=201604&highlight=raleigh.

Also they have weekly tournaments on Mon, Thurs & Fri.

Brass Tap has some good tourneys. There are some good tourney's that come to Raleigh. I have a limited knowledge about them... only playing for a year. But, from what I know rburgoyne is totally correct.
