She is friends with the owner of Bass Pro Shop and is usually at every grand opening.....

I think that's where that mistake has gained traction lately: the pronunciation of "ve" has become "of" and those who don't read much just repeat it in writing based on the sound. That's what I think happened.
Every sentence needs a verb, not a preposition. He should've known that.

Why not make a few bucks acting?
I imagine this has little to do with her pool background (other
than a quick mention of her professional pool affiliation);
she is probably a good talent for certain acting jobs and has
a good persona.
