my quarters worth

Hey Fatboy haven't you heard of the mayo clinic, and John's Hopkins? the only 2 places in the world to ever have your back surgery done. If you want no infection and want it done right the first time. mark

I know how you feel bud, I had mine done 2 years ago this month and i still cant play very long. I was at the Expo and my friend and i went to practice and after an hour i had to quit. The next day when the tournament started i could not hardly move. I made it to the 9:00 round and got beat. I could not stand up and shoot but i knew it would happen. Anyway good luck with your back i know what you are going through, Doug

I went to JH to have mine fixed and they wanted me to go through 6 months of therapy before they would touch me. At the time all the fluid had leaked out of the sack and the bones had rubbed through it and developed a bone spur and it was all i could do to walk. I had mine done in Richmond Va and was told i would be 80% better but it has yet to happen. O well i just play to have fun anymore that's all we can do anyway. I would advise everyone to do what ever they can to take care of their backs.

Listen to your doc!!! Playing pool 9-days after an operation is a joke and you know it. I had back surgery a SECOND time b/c my doc said "no pool for a month" and 5 days later I was playing. Get it done and stay in bed... you'll thank me for it.

Wow.....back surgery 9 days ago and you're playing pool

My buddy had his second back operation and couldn't play for a year and a half.

Get that back fixed and take it easy on it for a while, our game can wait till your healthy!!

Russ.....

its brutal the implant moved-it popped out so I have to go get another operation again in a few weeks,

i have 5 total in my back 2 artifical discs, i fusion, 2 coflex blocks(last operation), i'll have jay post a x-ray pic of my back, its a joke how much shit I have in there, i cant even walk right anymore, I was taking a walk with Jay looking for something and he noticed my gaite or gate or stride what ever that word is was bad, i'm losing hope of ever being good again, i'm very well informed and understand alot more than a layman does about whats going on and it dosent look good.

the x-ray is a side view and its clear that it moved, pm me a email addy and i'll send it for someone to post.

he wanted me to do anything i could asap-things are different in europe-suprised me. he pioneered atrifical disc replacement sugery 20+ years ago, he travels the world lecturing to Drs everywhere, he is 62 years old and has became a great friend. He let me watch then assist him on operations that was cool, i did everything except cut or remove any tissue, i did all sorts of things, mostly holding the retractors when he was going through the front to the spine. Man he is smart.

My Dr had me walking as much as i could when i came home. I was in the HP for 5 days. It took me 3 days to get on my feet. I got up to walking 10 miles a day and my back got to hurting so bad i had to cut back. It has yet to get better. I am thinking of going the steriod route now just to try to get some strength in it. I am going to the Dr this week and see what he sais about it. Please and i meen please if you have back trouble give it time to heel or you will regret it for the rest f your life. I have been figthing mine since 1985. Man thats a long time to be in pain!! I take 3 methadone a day and the pain never quits. 1 xanax to try to sleep. Anyone wanna trade?? Good luck, Doug

I be shakin'. He looks a lot more composed in this picture than he did at the U.S. Open 9 Ball Championship. Must be that Diamond table at his house....

Are you just a good photographer or does that guy actually have perfect form? :D

Here's your x-rays. I split the picture into two parts so it wouldn't be so wide.
