I’ve seen this video start to finish a few times. I have the file. It’s not my property & I’m honest so zero chance it will leave my possession.call me impatient but the 626 video never materialized either?
ive wondered about this as wellcall me impatient but the 626 video never materialized either?
John Schmidt's 626 video was shown several times at paid group showings with live commentary by John and Jerry McWorter. At the live showings, part of the video was at 2x speed. The recording was never released/sold.call me impatient but the 626 video never materialized either?
I was always confident that it existed and that it was a clean run. Being beaten I don’t really know why the owners are still not publicly releasing it. I don’t suspect it is Jon’s idea because I’ve learned how to play straight pool watching his old runs which he posted and commentated 20 years ago. I don’t understand the business incentive behind it. But this was most certainly discussed before elsewhere on the forum.I’ve seen this video start to finish a few times. I have the file. 100% it exists. I haven’t spoke to Bobby or Jayson so I don’t know what’s happening. I just know it’s real, was a clean run and exists.
As mentioned earlier in this thread, I accidentally stumbled on it live and watched it all but the first 2 racks. I knew by the 8th rack something special was happening, and it did.

Seemes like it won't ever be released... one can only imagine why it would avoid scrutiny... the dude just isn't truthful apparently.call me impatient but the 626 video never materialized either?

Standard gold crown specs.Big GC pockets/760 cloth/template rack. Astounding achievement, but still, 14.1 championship tournament at V.B. was: tight Diamond/new 860/triangle rack. High Run record attempts should be updated/standardized (IMHO) to reflect more modern tournament conditions. If I videoed running a thousand balls on an 8 foot table (like Willie’s high run), would the BCA give me a new official ‘record’ recognition too? If pros can still run 150 & out on a Diamond, that should be proof of standardization feasibility.
How fresh was that 760? In my experience, once it’s broken in, it plays like new 860, until it’s well worn, then it speeds up.Standard gold crown specs.
760 might be harder to play on then 860 because of the sliding off the cue ball it’s more difficult to control it. No one might ever run 400 on a Diamond. There has only been 1 run over 300 on a diamond table ever.
