I think this is key. It has to be 3 minutes per rack, not 3 minutes per shot. Mosconi didn't mess about, either.

A set of record tables with diminishing pocket sizes. Players can now post numbers in specific size groups. etc... etc...

What are buckets?
Jaysons 832 was on a standard gold crown 4.9 corners and 5.3 side pockets.The same tables we all grew up playing on and are still in more poolrooms than any other pool tables made.
Diamonds are not the only tables made. Some tourneys are even played on 4 inch pockets.
It’s all pretty simple if anybody has anything to complain about they can get any table with the same specs or smaller and get whoever they want to beat Jaysons 832.
I’m willing to bet any sizeable wager that no one can do it in 2 days like Jayson did. How about 100k bet and I’ll put up 250k to yours or anybody else’s 100k.
That was because beating Mosconi's run was upsetting to some. The billiards world is now getting used to records being broken.
