ok...lol... I know how this is going to sound after the guy ran off 832, but does anyone else think the combo was ill advised...?
He was probably in a flow, until he wasnt!ok...lol... I know how this is going to sound after the guy ran off 832, but does anyone else think the combo was ill advised...?
I understand the idea in opening up the 6/2 cluster but was it really necessary at that point..? Hard to argue given Shaw's firepower I know.
FWIW, I've struggled with reaching 40 lately

He knows he should have shot the 5B. He was most likely thinking about it when he pulled the trigger on the combo.ok...lol... I know how this is going to sound after the guy ran off 832, but does anyone else think the combo was ill advised...?

Video is on YouTubeIs the full run posted somewhere?
Agreed, I didn’t think the combo was anywhere near as easy as the cut on the 3 or 5 or the shot in the side pocket. At that point, it was more likely mental/physical exhaustion that led to that unforced error. I’m not sure how he can mentally recover from that and start over, after running nearly 60 racks! He knows he should have shot the 5B. He was most likely thinking about it when he pulled the trigger on the combo.

There's the essence of what can happen on hyper-long 14.1 runs -- a milli-seconds-long split of concentration on a previous move and the necessary subconscious flow for the present one.He knows he should have shot the 5B. He was most likely thinking about it when he pulled the trigger on the combo.
Keep an eye on The Legends of Pocket Billiards youtube channel, maybe they will put it back up.Is the full run posted somewhere?
It’s off now for the recount.
They at least need to edit out the several hours it was left running this morning, after the shooting had concluded, lol. It’s off now for the recount.
I spoke to Bobby, he’s busy as hell today.
They need to save the stream, it was a few minutes short of 12 hours.
That’s the latest word from Bobby
I didn't watch the whole run, so I don't know. But from my first post here to the ending missed shot was 328 balls in about 82 minutes, or 4.0 balls per minute. That includes racking and a brief timeout. If that was the pace for the entire run, it would have been about 3½ hours. But it is quite possible that the first part of the run was at a faster pace than the last part.So how long did it take start to finish? Anybody know?
For sure. They at least need to edit out the several hours it was left running this morning, after the shooting had concluded, lol.
Fired in a bunch of combos tooFor sure.
They opened it up and ran it to the limit. Which is a good idea as it’s never known when a good run will happen.
I’m confident that what ever happens it will be done with good reason and in the best interest of pool.
I watched it live, I knew by about 15 racks Jayson was in top form and barring any funny rolls he was gonna put up a big number.
As chance would have it, I was lucky to watch it all and it was in the top 3 if not the greatest accomplishments I’ve ever seen in pool. I need to think about that statement. Was amazing wow!
I’m fired up still thinking about it!!!
It was soooo clean too. To get a break ball and a good break that many times in a row is just amazing. Sure he had some tricky spots, not many as he just played so good.
