Jayson Shaw live High Run Attempts

Just a bit of an aside, I saw another high run of Shaw's end, maybe today's attempt, and it ended on a nothing shot. When I think about it, pretty typical of high runs, maybe the shooter drifts off someplace.

This shot was an easy one into a corner from near the foot rail, I think the three. He would have nudged the ball he wanted to regardless but english would give a little better result. Maybe what happened was a little indecision whether to use english or not. Anyway, he used english, he didn't appear to compensate for it at all. The shot was bad from the time the tip hit the cue ball. I think his racker told him that, he disagreed. I couldn't quite make out the conversation. He probably made similar shots dozens of times just yesterday and today. Most on AZB could make it.

Thinking about this shot I remember other shots that ended runs. Many more of them were high percentage shots than low.

Something I thought about, counting corner and side pockets, there are over thirty inches of open perimeter around these large pocket tables. Escaping a scratch for an 832 ball run is amazing all by itself.

Assuming this run is clean, and I have no reason to think otherwise, I think the odds are we will see a thousand in the next three years. If not from Shaw, from someone else. Steel polishes steel.

yup!

last night too, the 832 ended on the easiest of combos but he was drawing back to open those other two and forgot to do both things

looks to me like should take tonight off, not anywhere near as sharp as last night

as soon as i say that he’ll be going past sunrise🫡

Yes I didn’t see the first 2 racks. I opened up my iPad and there was a link on YouTube to Jayson. Someone on Accustats told me a couple hours before that Jayson was on plaging. So when I checked back-poof there it was, some how YouTube just knew…..spooky.

So I didn’t see the very beginning. I did lock in and watched the rest. As I was in the mood to watch pool, I don’t play anymore. By 10 racks I could tell he was dialed in real good. At 20ish as I mentioned I knew it was gonna be a good run. I had no idea it was gonna be what it was.

I got lucky…….
So... Am I missing something? That Youtube channel covering this does not seem to have the 832 ball run cut out as a separate video, and there doesn't seem to be any title/indicator of which time block the 832 occurred during? What specific video/time block contains the big run? (If you know..)

That combo didn't look easy to me. If someone was shooting that combo in 9-ball, shooting the 9, there's absolutely no way I give them that shot. I think it was a combo I might make 80% of the time. I'm in the camp that he should not have shot it, he had an easier cut shot into the other bottom pocket (5 ball).

Here it is, I believe it's the 8 - 13 right in front of the counters.

i think when you live and breath pool ... why are people drooling over this?? why does it surprise anyone ... thats all he does ..... thats it ... he should be good at it

Yeahhh.. I dunno about that. This sounds like someone making a claim, without talking to, or hearing from, the people with the video.

Did you hear this directly from "The Legends of Pocket Billiards" channel?

I think it is much more likely that the video was taken down for editing, to split out the individual run.

I agree with Wizard... This is not a particularly hard shot, on 5" pockets, on Simonis 760. ESPECIALLY as it is Shaw shooting. He made a bunch of combos of similar difficulty during some of his bigger runs. He is simply VERY accurate in the path he makes the first object ball travel, when he needs to be.

That worldpro dude seems like a Jayson cheerleader though .... Trying to profit off him as much as possible
See now.. "Seems" looks to be pretty wishy-washy as a response to your "declarative" statement such as "being archived for monetary purposes".

Either you KNOW why it got taken down... Or you are making s**t up off the top of your head to sound smart.

You should start trying to get into the habit of stating what you 100% KNOW to be a fact.. And holding your tongue when you don't know something to be a fact. Folks like you are how contentious rumors get started.

It may end up BEING that the channel owners DID take it down for that reason. But you don't know that. You don't have any special connection so far as I know, to the people running the channel.

They took it down off YT the next day, I heard it was on FB longer(I don’t use FB-just told that) it was a 12 hour stream. I didn’t ask when it would be back up again. I’m sure at some point it will, they need to edit the ends off of it, and count the balls, I think it’s been verified as 832 as of now.

That’s all I know at this point. And this isn’t a guess. I spoke to Bobby and Jayson personally.

I can speculate that it makes sense to try and monetize it to an extent. I’d pay for it as Jayson deserves compensation for his effort.

So there’s some facts and a bit of speculation. Not my video to make any decisions with.

Just a fluke I happened on it when I did and it was cool to watch. In 40 years of pool, that was the coolest thing I’ve got to sweat.

Getting mad at anyone is not the way fowards imo.

Hope ur good Russ 💪😃

There was about 35ish people watching it when it started.

By 20 racks 60ish

Ended with 85ish viewers as best I can remember. Wasn’t triple digits, super small audience, the channel at that point was 2 days old.

Was a very small number, I figured it would blow up, during the run, but it was super late on a Sunday night.

So not many eyes at all on it. I sent the link to one person while I was watching it.
