Why should this matter when all that should matter is the information gets out there?

Then Watchez says
I think you just reiterated my point. Glad to see we finally agree.

I dont get it ... are you (koop) moaning about Mike not allowing Timberly to post..... eh he wasnt here to approve the account...

the info is posted anyway so what is the bigge here.....

I feel bad for Jeeves... it really sucks to see bad things happen to good people.. esp when theyare in the full blown act of being good.. know what I mean?

Purd, nice offer but why do you always have to bash somebody just b/c they dont act in a manner you see fit.... Mike is driven by ego... and koop and timberly are good ole compassionate folk.....

I wanted to let the piece of sh*t that robbed him know what a coward, low life, scumbag, worthless excuse of a human being they are

yeah right very compassionate ...

at the end of the day the info is out and I am sure that the theiff will turn up one way or the other... the pool community isnt that big and most thieves have a problem with running their mouths....

Thanks
Shane

Shane, you just can't stand it when somebody does something right. I have had several experiences with Mike. I do not dislike him. I personally know Koop, Jeeves and Timberly.
You never miss a chance to show what kind of person you are. I did not come on here to argue with you. Do me a favor and please stay out of my business. There is another judge that I would rather be judged by for His judgment in not based in fear and HE is rightous. May God Belss you.
Thanks, Don

stop this bickering it only hurts us the pool world!!! the rest does not care.

timberly made a decision in her life and moved on without you she still wants some contact and has kept those options open and for the rest of you well let it go.

As to the thefts......

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am working with the hotel's video surveillance to determine the person or persons responsible. I will not make claims to the proof is in the pudding. But these people definately did not need the items, it was just a crooked thing too do. Once a thug always a thug. People like this, not just thiefs but arrogant ones who think they are important players, who won't take "no" for an answer, ruin the event for all and make it very difficult to even want to run it again.

Jeeves, please don't let it get you down. You are a very nice gentleman and I or one will see that things are made right one way or another. Keep the faith my friend for you have a good heart. Vengance is mine says the Lord. Believe me when I tell you that that is exactly what "Karma" and "Reaping What You Sow" is all about. It is not our job to create more evil in the world. I hope Jeeves finds his thief. I have bartended for over 10 years and never had my tip jar stolen. Not sure if I have had money stolen out of it and will never know, but not the whole jar. I have known other bartenders that worked at the same place that weren't so lucky. Whenever I had to throw someone out, my first move was to appoint a good regular or close friend to watch my tip jar.
I think you may have missed a small point.
Although they called this a "tip jar", the purpose was not to provide Jeeves with a tip, although he deserves more than that. Jeeves uses the funds to actually help pay for the party. There is no real tip involved.

What we had was one or more people, who took advantage of a party, and then took the funds needed to help pay for it.

I think the point Koop was making in his second post had nothing really to do with Mr. Wilson or Mike. He was making the point that the thread was supposed to draw a response from the hundreds of AZ members who praised Jeeves so highly for his effort when they were trying to get in the door of the IP Party and that now that SBE and the party were in the past tense, none of these people are anywhere to be seen.
It probably would have been better had Koop not included the portion of Timberly's message that was direct directly to him since that is what side-tracked the issue. However, that is all water under the bridge.
Only Purdman seemed to get it. BTW, Purdman I praise you highly for really reading the post, getting it, and making you're most generous offer.
I guess it doesn't matter that nobody posted in condolence, but it does matter that it appears virtually nobody among the hundreds could be bothered contacting Timberly to see what they could do to help Jeeves recover his losses.
Koop, correct me where I made misinterpretations of your intent.

You are dead on Steve.
The top part I had originally left out and Timberly asked me to add it in. Basically so people knew that it was her not someone who stole her identity.
And thank you Purdman, as always.

To the rest, I could give two sh!ts what you think. The message is out there and that is all that matters.
Oh, and smokeandapancak, you obviously have no intention of donating a nickle to this so why don't you keep your nose where it belongs and out of places it doesn't. Unless of course you just like to see your name appear on the internet. If that's the case then by all means, post away and show your ass.

Move toward helping Eric with monies or stop posting.

This thread is already a mess, so stop it.

So now that we have hopefully gone beyond the child crap, if anyone would like to donate to Jeeves the contact information is in the opening post.

Koop

The party is one of the highlights of the show for me. I am utterly disgusted with people stealing from Eric, Especially after all the hard work and financial commitment he provides. Eric has never asked for anything but a few bucks in the tip jar to help offset costs. I personally don't like peoples dirty laundry aired in public but if you find out who did this I think it should be put out everywhere. Everyone who attends the party knows what the deal is so IMO it is even more insulting that someone would steal there.
Eric I hope you will throw the party nexy year. Don't let one POS deter you. I will be happy to contribute to the jar again. I would suggest attendees use the formula of what a drink and tip would be in a bar at least and maybe a few extra bucks on top of that. I personally will contribute more than that as I want eric to make a few bucks for all his hard work.
I hope the person responsible sees this thread and returns the money. I know it is unlikey but I can hope. Chris Byrne.

Questions:

Why is Timberly collecting money for Jeeves? Why don't people send the money directly to him? Why is Timberly collecting money in your Paypal account? (I know that he has his own email address.) Finally, why aren't the donor names and amounts being disclosed? It seems that everyone is gladly offering up how much they are donating.

Gift Givers

Timberly provide a place for gift to be sent because I was at so many places before and after the Super Billiards Expo, it was just simpler to have any gifts mailed to her.

Jeeves - 4500.00
Inside Pool - 2500.00
Meullers - 500.00
Drea - Thank you the bartending help I would have been in worse shape with out your efforts.

This same question was posted on another forum, i think they speak for themselves:

Not everyone wants people to know that or how much they are donating. Those who want to publicly state it can do so. Timberly is doing it the right way. This way, someone who can spare $5 or $10 won't be intimidated by those who can afford more or simply are willing to donate more.

As for why she's doing this, in my opinion she's stepping up. Some people are talkers. I'm a talker. She's a doer. Doers accomplish a lot more than us talkers, but there's more time, energy and risk involved. Yes, risk. She is running the risk of people questioning her motives and intentions. I take her at her word. I have no reason to not trust her. Maybe you do.

Roger

I completely agree with this reasoning.

However that being said, Timberly made it clear that she no longer wanted to be a part of this forum. That means that she is not a part of this forum. She does not have the ability to post here based completely on her own wishes.

If Timberly wants to post on these forums then she can contact me and let me know. Until then, please refrain from posting messages for her.

Thank you.

Your party cost $7,500 ?

bar bills are expensive..don't ever have a kid that gets married.you will see what i mean..especially when hard liquor is involved.

yes the cost comes out to that approxiamately

It adds up quickly. For reference that is for a event that I check in on tuesday and leave the following tuesday (for two days setup and two-three days cleanup) also the hotel charges the ACA about $5000.00 for the Hall of Fame dinner that is one event on one evening so in comparison this is cheap. And when one person steals or does not contibute or is just a jerk or a POS or AH because they don't like a person it hurts. Thanks to all whom have helped and continue to provide advice and guidence.

Walk the path with him and you cannot go wrong because everyone strays once and a while.

Cripes, Purd, you must've been one hell of an addict on drugs! Look at you now, hooked on the Lord as bad as I've seen in a while. Take care of yourself, man...addiction takes many forms...fwiw.

Jeeves, when the thief is caught can we put up posters of him/her at the halls so we can all better defend ourselves against him?
