Authenticate Jerry Franklin pre-cactus Satin cue. 19.5 oz. Birdseye maple Butt and Forearm. Cue comes with a LOA from Laurie dated 9/9/2007. An extra shaft was purchased when the cue was sent for LOA. The joint rings are brown linen phenolic with a single maple ring. The color on the new shaft is not an exact match. That is just the way the new rings look. There is a small nick in the Butt ring which should show up in the photo. The cue is in very good condition considering its age. There are a couple small marks on the butt and one on the forearm. Due to the fact that it is a satin finish as opposed to the urethane finish it is very hard to notice any marks on the cue.

2 shafts. 1 (old) approx 12.85 with micrata ferrule, sniper tip and the other (new, lightly played) 13mm with melamine ferrule, molavia soft tip.

My guess is that the wrap is cortland. But am not 100% sure.

I was told by the previous owner that the cue was made in 1992.

Looking to trade up or down with a Scruggs, piloted joint only please. Or a Bluegrass. But you can hit me with offers.

If you wish to buy it outright, please make me an offer. I do not have a price for it as my main agenda will be to trade the cue.

This SW used to belong to me and it's a monster player!!! Straight as arrow and it play unreal...the lucky owner will love this cue. No luck needed here....just pure playability. The ding is really just minor (easily replace if you want a mint cue) and the last owner could have probably asked SW to replace but I think it adds character to the cue....I'm sure this cue has been in lots of action.

Regards,
Duc.

Very nice cue. Just to address Duc's comments though, aged brown phenolic is not that easy to match if you have the butt cap replaced. That's why the collar on the new shaft doesn't match up exactly. I just don't want anyone to be mis-led.

I'd rather keep the original butt cap, nic and all. The cue has history, and bruises are part of that, just enjoy it. I'd like to own this cue myself.

I sent you some cues to look at

They will require some differance on your part . You will be very pleased! A local yocal wants a cue like yours so maybe we can work something out.
