Ok. With that phone number now I know the address. I didn't realize the old Miller Time was in Bettendorf. Must be right close to the line.

Hope the first night went well.

If it's the one in Davenport, I've been there for the old Miller Time Classic. I went one year with Keith. He didn't win but we still made some coin.

It's the same room, Jay. I wasn't hanging around when MTB was drawing pro tourneys, but I've heard some great stories.

I've heard Nick would be there practicing before the staff was even awake.

I've heard Buddy would lay his bridge on the table before the CB came to rest. He'd take his stance for the next shot & the CB would slide around the table & take its position directly in front of his tip.

I've heard that Mark Wilson ran 139 off his opponent's break (in a 14.1 tourney) only to have Jeff Carter run 150 in the next inning to win.

Jesse,

Maybe beating a dead horse here but it would be nice for a Public 3 Cushion table be put back in the Quads. I know there's players around. Used to be 2 10' and 1 9' table in GinaD's. I know of one private table in Moline and there's supposed to be a table at the Moline VFW? Haven't checked that yet. 3 Tables were just converted in Dubuque and of course there's the Marshalltown tables.

Point is it should be worth while. Iowa is starting to become a 3Cushion center once again.

Jesse: There's a very positive buzz about what you are up to. Updating the tables, holding big tourneys, getting the bar jumpin,...,etc. If the rumors are true about diamonds with tournament blue simonis are true, I'll be in heaven! Everywhere I go, people are talking about the room. People are REALLY excited.

So this is why you've been so scarce down here in Louisiana.

Congratulations and Best of Luck to you and your family.

He's putting the Quad Cities on the map again!!! Good for your pool community there, for tournaments, action, and pool in general in this area!! People in Iowa are happy :)

Well, I recall there being two MTB in the QC. The one in E Moline was where I visited pro events around '86. I don't ever recall the Kimberly Rd (Davenport or Bettendorf?) location hosting large pro events.

The Spring and Fall Classics were also hosted for many years at the E Moline location. Those were awesome events. Players from all over the country including many top pros on the barbox.

Here's something for you to think about, as we talked on the phone already, I'm willing to get you into the deal on the Diamonds that we talked about....but, instead of recovering all the tables that are already there....save that money, apply it to the first 2-3 months of contract payments on the Diamond tables....that way, instead of the 2-3 months delay you're talking about...turning into 5-6-8 months down the road because now the conversation is going to come up of recovering the cost of putting new cloth on the old tables....further delaying the installation of Diamond tables;) So, what I'm proposing is that I'll talk with Diamond about the trade-in's we discussed...AND putting the tables on a short-term contract that at a moments notice can be paid off with no early payoff penalty....and the tables are yours;) THEN you're putting your best foot forward right from the begining....instead of down the road sometime in the future. Give me a call Jesse, lets see what we can do together...BEFORE you spend money on tables that really don't support your BEST efforts;) I'll take care of my end as we talked about....you take care of your end...and let the cards fall where they may:D
