He says if you are using left english, aim to the right side of the object ball. If you find the line of centers from the pocket through the obj ball you aim a pea size off the side of the obj ball. That's it. He spends the rest of the time demonstrating shots at various angles. I was very disappointed.

I spoke with Hal Last wk and he was in great spirits. He had plenty of enthusiasm I thought by the sound of his voice and ability to make jokes. He was much younger. He is pool's mistro . He PM's people. I for one enjoyed every minute. he has 47 aiming systems. Just like in most Professional things -the pro hold out on the general public- or all secrets in making cues are out-wrong. mark sishkabob see ya soon hal have a merry christmas and a happy new yr....

jdsons...Just so you know, both the halhoule and kildegirl screen names are Hal. Why he wants to have dual personalities, I don't know, but they are both him.

As a mostly former outdoor photographer I have noticed many times that herons, egrets and other wading birds that strike at their food from a short distance and often have to calculate the underwater distortion too will shift their head side to side finding their exact aimpoint.
Just for grins on shots when I wasn't fully comfortable with my aim point I tried moving my head side to side slightly until I was obviously out of line in each direction and splitting the difference. It actually worked fairly well.
I have to give the technique a name and work up some fancy jargon then I can write a book or three and put out DVD's for the folks that haven't read this post and don't realize that all I am doing is running with a birdbrained idea!

As a mostly former outdoor photographer I have noticed many times that herons, egrets and other wading birds that strike at their food from a short distance and often have to calculate the underwater distortion too will shift their head side to side finding their exact aimpoint.
