I don't know if he is a helpful representation of our game.
His 'person' has more of a Rough tought type bar room Feel.
I by no means don't like the man, and in his game I like him allot, he's clear, too the point and asks good question. BUT
It doesn't seem helpful for our ''green felt sport''/gambling..... his feel is more of a rough/tough UFC/rowdy type delivery.
I can't see him representing the PGA to create any Good for their sport.
What's your Opinion?

He's a pool nerd like most here.
He would bring eyes to the game.
His commentary in UFC is worn-out.
Maybe it would be better in pool?
He obviously doesn't have much interest in it or he would have done some already.

If he decides to get involved or not makes no difference to me.

He's a good friend of Fedor and John Showman at a minimum possibly another player. Joe likes Cues(Showman) the best old school period. He has millions of followers and plays better than 95% of them. Are you all really that butt hurt that Joe plays over Kevin Harts brother?

Some of you should never be allowed to anything pool related

For decades I played the bars and halls and most people I ran into were rough and tough or at least thought they were. Even some of the women would make Joe look pretty tame!
I'll take Joe over you in an advertised match. Get ready son

This site is making me let you get destroyed by Rogan. Jump in twat, or shut your mouth every time he's mentioned.

You legit get stomped into the ground

If you could read you would see that I was defending what people perceive as Joe’s rough and tough exterior and how it relates to pool. I like Joe and tough guys don’t use the word twat anymore but thanks for the chuckle

I think Joe Rogan would be a fantastic guest commentator for the U.S. Open. He knows pool, and he’s fairly in tune with today’s group of professional players. When Nick Schulman, pool player turned poker champion, was a guest commentator at the 2021 U.S. Open, he was great. Joe is a professional commentator, and this would be right up his alley.

As of early 2026, Rogan’s podcast continues to dominate globally:
• YouTube: His “PowerfulJRE” channel has about 20.6 million subscribers
• Spotify: His following has grown well past 17 million
• Average listeners: Around 11 million per episode

It was also ranked the #1 global podcast on Spotify for the sixth consecutive year in 2025.

On a personal note, when Rogan was commentating MMA, the organization handling the fights hired me to transcribe them. It remains one of my all-time favorite jobs, and it’s actually how I became a fan of the other Fedor, Fedor Emelianenko.

If Rogan ever did come out to the U.S. Open in Texas, I think it would be purely for the love of pool, not the money. Living in Austin, he’s only about a three-hour drive from Frisco, so it’s not out of the question.

Listen to Joe talk about how Max Eberle improved his game. You can really see how much Joe loves pool. I'd love to see him compete in the U.S. Open, but I'd rather hear him as a guest commentator. What a boost that would be for pool!

Every now and then, Joe mentions Keith McCready in his podcast when he's talking to pool people, and it always gives Keith and me both a thrill. My dream podcast, though, would be Joe Rogan interviewing Ronnie O'Sullivan. A girl can dream, can't she?

If Joe had any involvement with pool either playing or commentating it would be great for the game. I have often wondered why he hasn’t tried to promote a tournament, but if you think about it he already has several irons in the fire. I don’t know how he would have time to tune up to play in the US open with all of his current commitments. If he shows up and plays well then hats off too him. I will be pulling for him and hoping he gets more directly involved with pool the game sure does need somebody like him.

Allot of good thoughts and ideas.... thx.
I'm now getting a better feel for him representing our sport.
I could see him holding a bottle or canned drink of some type and having those sponsorship dollars adding to the prize fund.

Completely agree. The more publicity pool can attract, the better, and Rogan both loves and knows the game.

On a funny note, when you wrote that "Living in Austin, he’s only about a three-hour drive from Frisco", I started wondering just how fast you and Keith drive...and then I realized you meant Frisco TX, not San Francisco!
