Joe Rogan and TAR

Major step in the right direction with him getting involved.. just need a few more people like him and watch the magic

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but I think someone like Joe Rogan is GREAT for the game of pool. Brings a different element to the world of pool!

Thats what these fools need to understand,we need more people like joe!!!If people dont want to welcome entertainers movie stars nascar drivers then just go to your A.P.A league aND GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THEM!!! Joe did a great job, hell no one even told him how shane and earl was playing and when it was explained he understood period. As far as earl diggs joe's also a comedian, get real with pool people or it will DIE!!!

I didn't see the match with Joe in the booth commentating on Earl and Shane's play, but it cannot be denied that having celebrities such as Joe Rogan is a godsend for pool in general. This is exactly the kind of change agent needed in America to advance pool to the next level.

The problem that exists today in pool is that there's little to no outside involvement, which is why there is no non-pool-industry sponsorship.

The only thing keeping afloat today in the sea of pool is pool industry members, the chosen few who they sponsor and pay their expenses, and pool governmental organizational entities Everybody else, to include the players, is sinking into an abyss of little to no hope of advancing.

With celebrities like Joe Rogan, who could ask for more? This guy's not only a professional commentator, but he's a comedian. The combination of these two skills are great for pool and most definitely complement a venue such as this.

This is actually, IMO, a historical event. Pool has advanced a giant leap with Joe Rogan's contribution. Bravo! :)

I agree the guys did a great job, but I would have liked to hear the comments from Earls rants. Earl is comical to listen to we he gets on his rampages. If they would hold off commenting when a player starts talking or throwing a fit so the viewers could hear the comments like the ones in the arena.

Rogan was entertaining

However, I prefer Incardona and DiLiberto. I wish they were doing this match

I think Joe and Jerry made a great team. Joe really brought something new and fresh to the booth. He might not know everything about the game. But he makes up for that with his passion and enthusiasm for the game of pool. Joe is a very, very smart and insightful guy. And i thought it was great to see him bring all that energy to the booth. Cant thank Joe and Justin enough for making this happen. Something pool desperately needs.

Joe was not as impressive as many made him out to possibly be. To many 'wow's and "is that how'd you played it?"' to be up on total pool knowledge status commentary in my opinion.

He was comical in some of his one liners, i will have to admit! And would pay good earned money to see this in our pool community commentary.

But ultimately...Billy I. is the man for our money: Pool commentary, knowledge, skills, etc...! Period, end of statement!

Hopefully, in the futue they can combine Joe R. with Billy I. in the booth!

Agreed. I like the fact that Joe Rogan is a pool fan, and I like having him offer some thoughts on the game and the players, but in terms of trying to describe the shots you need someone in there with actual knowledge. Even Jerry, Ken, and Jay fall short in that respect.

I don't know who all is in town, but maybe give Oscar Dominguez a shot. He's a damn good player and very articulate. I think he'd do well paired with, say, Jerry, or even Rogan.

Of course I'll continue to buy the events no matter who is in the booth, as will a lot of us. They're a great product regardless.

[/my two cents]

I understand we all have our favorites, but it's like, well, you can't listen to the same Christmas album all the time.

Personally, I think Grady and Billy were one of the great commentary duos in sports. (I can't stand Danny and oft times find myself yelling at the screen, "THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE TO SHOOT -- YOU WOULD HAVE HAD TO SHOOT THE SAME THING FROM THERE" when he says over and over, "He didn't do much there" or, "That was just a survival shot."

Joe brings a fresh, gritty, professional, contemporary, knowledgable, and funny take on pool. He gives the guys on ESPN the rainbow. Like I said, you might have your favorite, but I think it's great that we get to hear someone like Joe for a change.

Kudos to Joe and TAR for making it happen.

Real classy.

I posted a clear reason why I disliked it.

But of course if anyone disagrees with a few people then there are comments about how they are crazy or some other insults.

He put a funny emoticon at the end -- it *was a joke.*

man, for the holidays
people are soooo touchy lately

Thank you.

I don't disagree that he is good for pool, I didn't enjoy him in the booth.

Danny can be annoying or irritating sometimes, but he can also be tremendously funny

I'm glad some of you guys enjoyed it. That was a lot of fun, and Earl might just be one of the funniest humans on the planet. He was absolutely hysterical holding court after the game play wrapped up for the night.
I'm going to try to get back for some more tonight, but I'm not sure if they'll still be playing after the fights let out.

does that mean there's a possibility of an Earl appearance on your podcast....it'd be a riot hearing his takes on things outside of pool as well!

Does anyone know if Justin sells these matches in a DVD set?

I'd buy it just to hear Rogan talking pool.

Joe I like everything you do,your a class act.Was just watching "News Radio" the other day and you were funny as shit in that too.Great show,R.I.P. Phil Hartman.
