Joe Rogan For Pool Spokes Person

Joe Rogan is the best and funniest comedian around for my money and enjoyment. I wish he could/would do one fun but serious TV show on amateur and pro pool. I believe with his following that a well done 1/2 hour or 1 hour show would do more to make playing pool cool than anything but a blockbuster movie like the COM and the Hustler. Johnnyt

I agree pool need something from the star factor. Whether it be Joe starting a show or whatever.

High profile athletes used to have some fund raiser pool tournaments and such. Those are always good PR.

Doesn't even have to be a pool show. If the Kardashian's had a pool table in their house and spent time on it, that would elevate the game (if they could play a lick).

Who in pool has money to pay Joe?

I have zero info on how busy Joe is, or what he has been up to. I imagine he is touring and doing his comedy act.

Joe loves pool, we all know that. I wonder if he would have the freedom in his scheduling to suggest to his handlers that some of his tour coincide with certain "hot times" in pool.

Maybe he could be doing his act at the Rio right now. And be back in Vegas for the Mosconi Cup. Down in Tunica at the right time, etc.

How many pool players would love to see his Earl impression live?

Not suggesting that he just do his act where tournaments are. But that would allow him to also be a spokesperson for pool being in the right place at the right time. If he were making money on his tour, I'm sure his "spokesperson fee" would probably not be significant.

He'd probably even be happy to jump in the commentator booth now and then.

Joe is an all around awesome dude! I've seen him live 3 times. He has a new show on SciFi Network that premiered this week. He has a pod cast that features folks from nearly every walk of life. He usually does a couple a week. JCIN and Joe are friends from what I can gather. I have mentioned it before, but it would be great to get JCIN on the podcast to promote an upcoming TAR event. Over 100K folks from all over the world listen to it.

Kardashian and lick in the same sentence. Hmmm.:D

Joe is funny and I heard he can actually play a little.
All you need to do is get Joe on a table, beating up on someone, and making funny comments
about how much they suck. Or else making funny excuses if someone's beating him.

Doesn't matter how they make this scene happen or what the show is about, I just hope
they can get joe, a pool table, and a victim all in the same room. The rest will take care of itself.

The contestants are paid by the producers whether they win or not. They don't play for money game to game. They play not to lose. Those who lose must eat a bucket of worms or a plate of cockroaches, ala the old Fear Factor show. If they refuse to do as told when they lose, at that time MMA fighters are brought in to whip the living crap out of the uncooperative players. This way Rogan is able to combine the successful elements of his MMA experience with that of his Fear Factor experience, just to blend him comfortably into his new role. I want to see guys playing not to lose. That's what people do when they play for their lives, they play conservative. You got a football game going down where the losing team is taken out and executed, you're not going to see them passing the ball around a lot. They're going to be careful. That makes the game more exciting, more do or die. Yes, instead of playing for money let them play to avoid eating bugs or doing pushups or paying off in other potentially annoying ways. Humilate those losers, that's always good for tv ratings.
