Joe Rogan....WHO?

On one of his pod casts he was talking with Bryan Christopher Callen, Joe was saying how during practice he's seen Max Emberle run a 10 pack and said he himself had only run a 4 pack https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=J73SPMrQBos (4 minutes in he says this) (illustrating how weak he would as compared to pro players).

I also remember it said he was a 60ish ball runner too.

That would make him (if both are true) a fairly strong above average pool player I would think.

Joe talks about pool pretty often on his podcast. I posted a link on here last time he did. He grew up playing in pool halls and running around with a money player. But having a 9 ft table and nice cues absolutely does not mean he can hang in there against a strong money player. He has never claimed otherwise.

Joe hits’em decent, definitely not top level and would be in a trap with a lot of solid shortstops. He left his social media live stream on a while back and they were playing at his house for quite a while. I think I saw him run 4-5 balls a couple times. His mma commentating and BJJ knowledge gives his pool game the 6 and the last 4.

A 4 pack and a 60ish run is a strong B IMO.

Watching him play on his table, he looks like a decent player, but he appears to sweat every shot, even when he was just playing around with one of his buddies. To me, he certainly didn't look like a 60 ball straight pool runner or a player capable of running a 4-pack. On another note though, his impersonation of Earl cannot be questioned as absolutely unrivaled.

I'm officially labeling that an A player.
Officially IMO that is.

Here's one of him running out against Justin....

I know he has a diamond table in his house, there was a video of him practicing on it floating around a few years ago.

He always seemed like an A but I don't think he plays tournaments so there isn't a way of finding out.
All that said, pool could really use high profile names playing pro tournaments

I agree, Chris. I love Rogan but he doesn't seem able to string racks together, at least consistently. Maybe three at best? But, I suppose, who really knows. That said, I would be surprised. And since 9/10 ball is/are his game/s apparently, it doesn't make a lot of sense he would be running 4 to 5 racks in 14.1. Again, however, this is merely "imho".

Saw Joe at Hollywood Billiards (the second one) being filmed doing his Earl impression.. glad I wasn't playing, I was laughing so hard... he had the Earl
'thousand yard stare' and random mumblings down!
