A while ago "PATCHEYE" was robbed and beaten half to death when entering his apt

A couple of young players from this area hit the road only to get robbed at gunpoint

TW got heisted out of apprx 7 dimes

LIL JON got robbed...17 dimes worth up in BEANTOWN

Danny Medina gets beaten on the mean streets of LV

These instances are off the top of my head, but, this behavior doesn't surprise me in view of the examples set by our political, business and religious leaders. It's not going to get better and i urge peeps to carry because all the creeps understand is power and fear and looking down the barrel of some iron will put a hitch in their giddyup.

i don't know JOEY, but, i've seen him around and he carries himself well...glad he's up and about...coulda been much worse

I notice a difference when I return from the PI. Here it seems everyone is giving everyone the "hard eye." Like they have nothing better to do then start trouble. You have to be careful not to make eye contact when you walk around in L.A. I suspect it is much the same in other locales. And if you look at someone you better be smiling. Everyone seems on edge these days.

I can sense the tension in the air. People seem wary everywhere I go, always on their guard. Less and less do I see people relax and enjoy friendly conversation. No one wants to talk to a stranger. Even in stores the conversations are short and stilted. Life has changed in America and I don't think there is any going back. People are only comfortable around family and friends. No one wants to engage a stranger. Heaven forbid you brush against someone while walking or drive too aggressively.

There is fear on these streets and I can feel it. This is only my perception. It may not be yours.

I experience the same things you do, on a daily basis. But I think you are being a bit of an alarmist. Sure things have changed for the worse, and it IS becoming somewhat more noticable in the bigger cities. The "melting pot", has become a "boiling pot" at times.

However, I refuse to let that determine how I live my life, day to day. I WILL make eye contact, and I WILL smile and nod...if I get no response, or even a snarl...I will pity that poor sucker, for being so out of touch with the human race.

Things have not changed THAT much...Any one of us can be "in the wrong place, at the wrong time". These days, you can run across a gangbanger, trying to make his "bones"...we never know.

But I refuse, at my age,...to change, just for the sake of the few sicko's out there...Thankfully, MOST people still acknowledge my friendly nod, and reply in kind. Those who don't, are a lot worse off than I am, and I personally could give a s**t less.

PS..I am also armed, and dangerous...just in case..:cool:
 
That's a shame, he's a good dude from the few times I have met him. He's young and in good shape, hopefully that helps speed up his recovery process.
 
Tap, tap, tap Dick. I feel the same way. It's not the gloom and doom that people want to make it out to be, imo...and I travel the whole country! Sure, there are bad people out there, but no that many.

I may be an "alarmist" Dick and like you I still carry on as I have for years. I've never been one to show fear. I am just a little more aware of my surroundings today than ever before. Extra caution seems appropriate with so many angry and disturbed people walking our streets. Rarely does anyone bother me. I don't think they view me as a threat in any way. That's a good thing.
 
This sounds like a setup. Robbed by multiple guys in broad daylight just outside his apt? Sounds like someone thought he might be carrying a decent bankroll from snapping off the white diamond event. Hope this works out to no permanent damage. Gray is a great player, I watched him play strong one hole in south fl a few years ago. Good looking kid too, this news is just feked up.

Dam right it sounds like a setup. You don't go scalping with a bat in broad daylight to score $25, thats for dam sure. My bet is on someone who knows him, or of his exploits.

Real sad too, Joey's a good friend of mine and you couldn't ask him to be a nicer/cooler cat. I'm sure it'll be setteled in time....word on the street is good word to go by, and I'm sure the perps will be yacking at the jaw soon enough....someone will talk just a little too much, and I hope they get whats coming to them 10 fold. God knows I wish I had been there to help my friend.

This really sux , Joey is a good dude and I hope he gets better!!!!!!

I know when I had my jaw wired shut I liquified everything and had a lot of shakes, pizza peanut butter and jelly , you name it
. So I guess he will be drinking lots of oreo shakes! which are good !!!!


I hope they find these douche bags and beat them with worse than a baseball bat!!!

Me and Joey and Chip are not best friends but we are cool, if they need anything let me know and Ill do what I can
