JoeyA and Sam had a match at Buffalo's Billiards the other night!

It seems as if telling it like it is might not be the right thing to do for me? If you had read down further in my thread you would have seen that everyone who played got the same press! I am not going to entertain your statement though! I just consider the Source!!!!!! If you do not like my thread why read it? I don't think anyone is twisting your arm!!!! You Must to feel lonely, or left Out!

Smokey,
It would always be a pleasure to break bread or rack with you. It would be my honor.

I may be visiting your fair city in May but only for the U.S. Open One Pocket Championship. Maybe we can firm up a meet after my participation is confirmed.

Thanks for the hello. I'll never forget your kindness to SmorgassBored and family.

JoeyA (hope I won't have to wear a tie)

Joey,

I have been wanting to check out the new rails on the Diamonds ever since I heard about them. Having them at Buff's just makes it that much sweeter. Hard work and being willing to put dollars back into the business has definitely paid off for Buffalo. I have to admit I feel like he deserves every penny he makes and then some.(WAIT! Scratch that and then some, don't want Buff getting ideas)

I'm going to come in one day soon, maybe next week. Let me know when the new tables are set up. Hu

The New Diamond Pro Am tables are there and they are AWESOME. Diamond has stepped up to the plate and hit a home run with these tables.

They bank better than the older Diamond Tables. Now, it seems like it's same angle in, same angle out, instead of the banks coming up short every time.
They have the ball return feature which you will like.
The rails are slightly lower so now when the cue ball is frozen to the rail, you don't feel like you have to aim down on the cue ball. You've got plenty of room to make good contact with the cue ball even when the cue is frozen to the rails.
The engraved white Diamond logo is a very nice accent to the branding of the table although it doesn't add any playability to the table. :D
The new Diamond lights are narrower than the old Diamond lights but I THINK they may provide better lighting because they use the newer narrower diameter bulbs, but still 8 foot long.
THE POCKETS: Well, you can't fit two balls side by side into the mouth of the pocket, so just guessing they are about 4" in width at the mouth or maybe less. They are as the Germans say, guddentight.

The cloth is new Simonis and it slides just a little. Some people are going to have trouble with these pockets when the cloth wears in. LOL

The New Pro Am tables gets : :thumbup: from JoeyA. :)

Buff also purchased two new diamond Bar tables and they look great.

I'm glad Diamond fixed the banking problem on the Diamond Tables. This is going to make for a much better table. The tighter pockets are something else.

Come pass a good time when you get the chance Hu!

Does sound interesting . . .

Four inch or a bit bigger pockets on those tables sounds a little snug, on the other hand I've always banked fairly well. Better banking rails sounds like a plus. Think I'll make a pass through fairly early next week! Today I'm "enjoying" all the health benefits of the Manwell labor I have done over the last few days and I think I'll take my own advice and let my body quieten down a little before trying to bend over a pool table.

Smokey,
I'm not sure which thread you were talking about. I found this one but it is not without it's baggage. You can read up on this by clicking here. It is thread mixed with a lot of emotion, so those of you who know me, know how I feel and that I hold no grudges against anyone.

The POW-MIA (Prisoner of War-Missing in Action) cue that I play with was designed by myself and a few good friends to honor all of the soldiers, especially the Prisoners of War and those missing in action. I play with it in every tournament and I play with it every time I play pool. I have no other playing cue.

MUCH thanks goes to cubc who hosts the pictures of the cue for all these years.
To see the cue you can go to http://immediateeffects.com/youarenotforgotten/

Thank you for the kind words and offerings. I plan to spend some quality time with you when I come to Vegas in May but will probably pass on your generosity, although I do like the idea of the Harley. :)

Thank you for remembering those who have fallen, those who were prisoners of war. May they never be forgotten.

Right now, I only have two hours to get to the Louisiana State Bar Table Championship where the POW-MIA cue and I will go into battle once more.

Best Regards,
JoeyA

I have a name change now! KoolKat9Lives said...

That cue and the case that holds it are both things of true beauty. After finally hitting with the cue I can say it is quite a weapon to play with too. I have seen cues people paid more for but I've never seen a nicer cue.

Sounds like you did yourself and the cue proud over the weekend. Congratulations!

Thanks Hu.

I ran out of gas at the end as always but I did my best and I can live with myself knowing that. Cliff and Shuff spanked me good but I cooperated. :p

Justadub, That's our JoeyA. He played his heart out!

"But I cooperated." I love it!

I think they over powered JoeyA. I should have went up there to help him with Cliff. Maybe the bite was on Cliff's mind? JoeyA, fought back real good!
And did a wonderful job in the tournament. You have to remember, their were 64 great players in this tournament! Their was only one JoeyA!
Thanks.
