I met Joey online in another pool forum, far, far away, and we both somehow ended up here on AzBilliards. In fact, it was our mutual friend, Smorgie, who invited me here to this moderated forum. It was quite different from the forum me and Joey were hanging out on.
Over the years, Joey and I have gotten to know each other via posts and PMs. I was saddened with Smorgie passed away, and Joey offered some comforting words of wisdom. I still miss Smorgie today.

My friend Doug has been in my thoughts all week, I miss seeing him and Barbara when I go to FL, and I can't think of "Smog" without thinking of his friendship with Joey.

I have asked you not to post anything about me, especially on the forums, yet, here you go again.
You told me about this thread in passing in the pool room a week or so ago because I hadn't seen it. I soon forgot about your mentioning this thread and then a friend who saw it, told me about it. Finally, today I dug around to find it, only to be disappointed.
I'm most appreciative of my friends that I have earned over the years on the forums and in the pool world and all of their very nice comments about me in this thread are SINCERELY appreciated. They know who they are and I know who they are and they nor I need to be put in this position.
The limelight that you put me in on a regular basis is not appreciated. I do not like the manner in which you post about me and I do realize that you mean no harm and only wish me well.
Look, I know you are a nice guy but I can't take this anymore. I don't wish to hurt your feelings but please remove my name from the LockNLoad Society. I am no longer willing to carry the load and am removing myself from the island.
DO NOT POST ANYTHING ABOUT ME IN THE FUTURE.
Just so you know, I'm not hating on you. I actually like you and respect your intentions about many things but this has gone too far and you have left me no choice.

Why post an innocent looking thread aimed to ignite negativity against another?

The only thing to understand is that there is no such thing or place as the World Famous Lock and Load Society. Never was and never will be.
It is just a figment of one persons dreams and imagination.

This thread kind of reminds me of my dear, sweet brother, who I love more than anything.
A few years ago, my brother found religion. He was raised in religion as a child, went to Sunday School, et cetera, but as some people do when they grow up into adults, he did not practice any religion or faith and went on with his life.
Fast-forward to today. He reads the Bible every single day, and when you receive an e-mail or speak with him, the colloquy is sometimes laced with religious overtones. This is not the brother I know well, and I hasten to say that it gets on my nerves, this religious talk.
But you know what, my brother today is happier than I've ever seen him in my life. Nothing gets him down. He has a positive attitude in everything, which he never had before, especially after his Vietnam War experience. He suffered for years. Religion, however, has turned my brother into a new man. I love it that he is happy in life. I wish I had that happiness that he does, and I know he owes it to religion.
In sum, I don't chastise my brother anymore for his positive, upbeat attitude due to religion. I love him, and I'm glad he is happy.

It seems something other than you saying a good word or a hello on here is bothering Joey. Sometimes there are things going on with a person that they may not talk about that is the REAL ISSUE . I have a friend who completely lost it because I could not make it to a Christmas party he invited me to .Well a month or so later he apologized and let me know what was REALLY going on .Maybe in time Joey will let us know what is going on or maybe not .I know Joey to be a good man who will continue to spread that good spirited karma . Joey , I hope you know that when Lock says something about you or I joke with you a bit it is only because we hold you in high regards ,if I did not like you trust me I would not waste the text or thoughts . There's just too much hurt and anger in the world for two people with as much to offer as you and Lock to be at odds or have bad vibes .Life is just too short .Remember what my two heros said Fonzie and Jesus ......just be cool and show love for one another .People are killing each other and setting off bombs at marathons
