I think I'll make a trip out there this Spring. Then head down to my old stomping grounds of Durham NC. Hope that John's pool hall is a great success.

I agree, our industry needs new rooms to open, with a flourish, as I'm sure John's will. I'm hoping the dearest best to John, and wish him the best of success.

But please, can we keep the "if it's not California, it ain't worth a damn to me" tone out of it? Have you ever BEEN to W.V.? Have you ever been out of California, or even your home town there? There are some states in our union that will surprise you with their natural beauty. W.V. is one of them. (And yes, *this* from a Yankee like myself -- but a well-traveled Yankee who'd been all over the world in his former military career.)

i've lived all over the country man. cali, new jersey, florida, alaska, alabama....etc. my parents were in the air force so i got the chance to see more of the country/world than you think. then i got the chance to see a little more because of my "former military career".

The room's web site says the seven tables are three 8-footers and four 7-footers. The other thread mentioned that John would be bringing in another table. I sure hope it's a pro-cut 9-footer so John can stay tuned up for tournaments and challenge matches and maybe add to his 14.1 personal best.

Come to think of it, with 8-footers in there, maybe John will challenge Mosconi's 8-footer record.

I love the look and feel of that pool room, It looks like someone's comfy home but with a kitchen in the game room. Really nice looking
