John has decided to upload his 366 ball run with commentary by him and Bill Maropulos for free. This is the highest straight pool run ever captured on video.

Here's what he says on Facebook:
"I thought I'd put this out there for players to watch and possibly help your game. This was 2010 and if I'm not mistaken is still the highest run ever captured on film. Bill Maropulos and I do the VoiceOver. I meant to sell the DVDs of this run but I think it's better if I put it out for free for many reasons."

I know John is available for lessons. If interested contact him on facebook or contact me or Bill and we will put you in touch with him.

This is very cool.
I bought a dvd of this from John back when he was at Turning Stone classic.
He is easily one of the best commentators in terms of teaching and knowledge.
His accu stats 14.1 commentary DVD with Danny DiLiberto is full of learning.
Multiple viewings are in order to fully absorb the information.

Big thanks to John for making this available on YouTube.
So much to learn, and so little time.

And thanks for the heads-up on the link to the OP. Much appreciated.

I bought this when it 1st came out. John does an excellent job explaining what is going on and I found it to be amazing of the control he had with the balls.

I love what he says at the end of the video when he gets in trouble. He comments that the run is over because he would not have shot the bank in a real match, he would play safe. I hear people talking about runs they have in practice but if you are shooting low percentage shots just to keep the run going you would never shoot for real, the run is bogus.

I don't think it is exactly bogus, but it is a different kind of run.

Lassiter shot a lot of bank shots in 14.1. I think John's supposed to be 50% on the bank he shot and in a match -- unless you have an iron-clad safe to play -- you have to shoot at 50% shots when you get in trouble if they will give you a way to continue. For the bank he played, he seems not to have gotten any position (except on the ball he missed).
