The Legends and Champions Tour came to Gallery Billiards in Newburgh , NY Tuesday . Johnny and Nick stopped in on Monday a busy day for the room , My partner Ruth and I took them out to dinner , they were great company as I babbled in awe , they are the reason I am able to do what i do for myself and the pool community . They both reached in their pocket when the check came , my Ruthie would have none of it . After dinner while they were seconds from their hotel they chose to come back to Gallery and shook a bunch more hands .
Tuesday 11-3 for the pool school turned in to 4:15 . We had 11 students myself included . The time flew buy as they were entertaining and eager to answer any questions . Johnny can really get you thinking about the basics and reapplying them to your game . Nick is a kicking master the systems he uses are " Powerful " . All who paid for the school were verry happy and hoped I could make this happen again .
Tuesday 7:30 - 11:30 the Exhibition , Johnny walked through the crowd saying hello while Nick hit a couple balls . At dinner Nick was polite and a little soft spoken . at center stage he is as entertaining as they come . he made great shots and worked the crowd , everyone was glued to the show. Next Johnny played our local legend Earl Herring , a race to 7 nineball . John won 7-4 one miss from John one or two from Earl H with 2 dry breaks :frown:. Next the two Champions Johnny and Nick squared off against each other in scotch doubles with lucky ticket holders from the audience . 11:30 turned in to 12:15 for John and 1 am for Nick as he stayed and showed off his line of cues . While people looked at his cues he answered any questions even shared some more stories from the road .
As a roomowner and a player I couldnt be happier with The Legend and Champions tour . Ps special thanks to Mark Cantrill for making it happen on such short notice.
