I just got off the phone with JA he is in Gainsville Fl doing a exhibition, when thats done at around 8pm EST he said he is going to log on to the forum and answer any ones questions about the press release from yesterday. he told me the reason they released it this early was to make sure there was time to work things out. A last minute release wouldnt leave much time to solve what ever issues there are.


One other thing, JA and I are close friends as most people know, We are friends outside of pool. So I'm not involved with AB? what ever the name of the thing is, I dont have a horse in this race. I'm not a player or promoter. So please dont shoot the messenger, he asked me to post this, I dont know exactly how he plans on answereing questions probably in a thread that will move fast like a chat room, or maybe in a chat room. i dont know. Perhaps thats a good idea. I'm not going to get involved in that or the AB?(what ever its called). Its not my business.


so again I aint picking sides, and I hope it all works out for everyone, players, promoters, fans, etc.

Edit: Now that I look, I don't even see a chat function. I guess it's this thread then.


One of the things people are interested in is how many players remain unpaid from previous years. Also, this boycott seems to dampen chances for negotiation, or do you see it that way? Are there any negotiations, or is the boycott a done deal?

Since it is 8:56 EDT right now, I believe you meant 11 pm EDT. That is what Johnny or Shawn said in the other post.

I don't think it would be wise to do this on here. Too many posts will get missed. Things will move fast and neither one of them is remotely close to being good at posting on forums. They need to do this in a chat room or better yet, through a stream.

A court reporter would suffice, to have their spoken words put into print on a thread.

That's how they do closed captioning on TV. :D

yeah thats probaly right, my bad. LOL he said a couple hours from now he will be on here. He has a laptop and I dont have any clue if he has a account or who's account he is gonna use. I didnt get that involved, he had to go, and said he was going to call me back,

i'm not going to be involved any more than this message and I didnt get that right, I'm gonna take a nap now.

I hope everyone gets the answeres they are looking for. I dont have any answere's its not my gig. Ja does want to answere peoples questions I do know that,

The best way to handle this would have been to provide Johnny a list of questions from this forum ahead of time.

Then somebody could call him on the telephone and record their conversation via digital recording software asking him each question and allowing him to answer.

I use Total Recorder software, but there's freebies like Audacity that some folks use.

Then you could take the digital recording and post it up for all to hear.

It would be better than this helter-skelter posting and never replying to anybody's questions. It's a post-and-run. LOL :D

good, somebody please tell him he needs a front man for this orginization, as well as a person, preferrably with a reasonable business sense (yes, you have to pay for this) to be making or advising on decisions.

He's a friend of yours outside of pool, but you ain't pickin sides.

For my true friends, I sure as heck would pick sides. I'd be informed on all sides, but you always back your friends play (brother's play if your Morgan Earp) but friend's play will suffice for this exchange.

I got my DVD of the month from Accustats the other day and just yesterday watched the epic US Open final between Corey Deuel and Darren Appleton that went into "extra innings" because of the new rule that you have to win by 2.

It was phenomenal. I just hope there are many more US Opens with close finals that go late into the night that require two discs in the future.

i'm staying out of it, JA is like a brother to me, and I dont get involved in his biz,

please dont try and make something out of this that aint there, or knock me.

I hope it all works out, I'm more concerned about JA's son and his daughter(my God Daughter) thats what matters to me. thats my priority.

I got the opportunity to spend a little while with JA in Frisco at the 10 ball tournament after CJ Wiley introduced him. He was classy as could be and was the gentleman I expected him to be. He told some great stories and was a really nice guy.
