Joshua Filler withdrawn from the Mosconi Cup!

Unions are created for the purpose of collective bargaining that would be the primary tool they use...
The union *will* serve the union because guess what: it's members ARE the union. That's what makes it - you guessed it - a union.

In the long run, unions and regulators are the only things keeping us from becoming serfs to the billionaires of the world.
I didn't say that unions don't use collective bargaining. That would be like saying a wolf isn't a canine. I'm saying that it doesn't have to be a wolf to be a canine.

Your claim that unions and regulators are the only things keeping us from becoming serfs IS saying that only wolves are canines.

I live in RTW state and it was the best thing they ever passed in the Ok. legislature. There are still unions but you are not required to join one. All the union hacks squealed when the law was passed but in the long run it didn't change much if anything. Fk them and their dues.
That's a perfect example of how they are corrupt. Unions pay off politicians to make legislation that force people to join unions and pay dues so that they get more money to pocket, not to help their union members.

If Unions were truly just collective bargaining, then people could choose to join them or not. Sometimes the collective bargaining HURTS society. Just look at the price of cars today. There's a reason that we need tariffs and that in conjunction with that, we need to limit union controls.

This is great news.

I can't stand him. Not because of how he plays, but because of his shitass attitude. Homeboy thought he was "king" and untouchable for years and his now learning where that lack of humility can get you.

Such an incredible player ruined by a terrible personality.
Agree!
I didn't like Novak Djokovic either, until later in his career when he was more gracious and humble. Who knows, maybe he never changed, just hired a publicist.
I've been hoping Filler would become more likeable with age, my distaste for him just gets in the way.

To say that the players have been shortsighted over the years would be a 'slight' understatement.
I mean they are professional pool players after all, 99/100 of them would better serve themselves in other walks of life. Generally speaking, not great decision makers or forward thinkers. Just the truth.

Pro pool has had multiple chances to really go somewhere and EVERY time the players fk'd themselves. Herding greedy cats. MR is the FIRST outfit with the money/brains/organization to really do something. CamelTour had a chance but a combination of idiot players and ratf^&k fraud artist Mackey ruined it.

vs

Filler, Ouschan, Feijen, Zielinski and Neuhasen

You could make a stronger team of Europeans who are not playing.

they need an association/ union to have a collective say for some bargaining room.
you know to have ,one, say to get their point across and to work constructively with the producers.

not to make ultimatums on the producers.

also that helps their bargaining power somewhat with one say that means someone else can negotiate a deal with them.

Instead of a union it would be good to have it how F1 do it. With a drivers rep? Although that maybe difficult as the drivers rep is paid by a completely independent entity to those running it, whereas in pool the rep could be biting the hand that feeds!

The NHL/NHLPA have been brawling for decades. It's led to several lockouts and I'm sure a lot of lost money by the ownership, but that's the only place you can hit them: the pocketbook. It's gotten the players what they want and without them there is no league.
Obviously the NHL/NFL/NBA/MLB also have more player health/safety impacts than pool players, but the athletes deserve fair representation so a handful of rich a-holes aren't profiting off them without compensation (see: NCAA).
Pro downhill mountain biking has been going through the same issues the last couple years with athletes (justifiably) wanting more control over the courses and racing decisions.

What's most important for starters is the competitors and league/sponsors/organizers to be on the same page. Doesn't seem like we have that here, but also seems the players are getting mixed messages from different groups.

Just my $.02.
Theres been 1 one team strike, 1 total player strike and 3 lockouts since 1925
