1973 joss

Here is cool one....
Original condition, one owner made for the editor of the National Billiard News. 18 thread pin & Fellini. I'm no expert on Fellini but I don't remember seeing one with green interior.

Nice! And an 18 pin! With provenance!

As for the green lining, I am no expert...but I am confident it is rare.

And in nice shape!

What a great old Joss, with window and gunsight design. Those were the glory days of Joss.

With 18 pin, I would put this about early to barely mid 70s...?

All the best,
WW

very cool joss
thanks for posting

Love the birdseye

Thanks. And as is proper, it's a nice piece of wood, nice in 360 degrees, eyes all the way around.

Cue is "worn", needs a polish, and wrap is filthy, but I can't find a scratch or dent anywhere on it.

With a polish and wrap cleaning it would look new. But I am not so into that. I love the patina and character.

It feels and plays exactly like my four point block letter. Really exactly. Which I think is perhaps a testament to the consistency of quality, methods, and materials.

Here's a somewhat fancy Danny Janes build ~ Bill Stroud believes it was built around 1974-75
