Jump stick rule change??

Lots of talk about how Fedor is accepting push outs and jumping to either make a good hit, or make the ball.

Do you think going back to the old break stick and playing stick, that is all you can have is on the horizon?

Corey figured out the break and they added rules, are jump sticks too prevalent, and there needs to be a change to that rule?
That and a new way to keep the pace and excitement of 9 ball, without the guaranteed 9 ball on the break or the 1 ball on the break.

Back to wood or plastic racks and no jump sticks?

I’m all for getting rid of jump cues because it’s pretty boring to me to see guys easily get over balls. It used to be much harder. Nowadays, with today’s technology, you see APA5s getting over full balls with ease.

But it’ll never happen.

Because event sponsors sell A LOT of jump cues and they aren’t cheap anymore.

Game is more beautiful and creative without them.

We have/had 2 of the best full sized stick jumpers in the country in Mark Jarvis and George Breedlove.
Did not know this. I "shared" a table once with Jarvis before a tourney. He piled a truckload of racks on me lol. Strickland's the only one I can think of who excelled at full stick jumping. That would come under outstanding skill but isn't that really abusive to thin cloth tables?

In my experience, most of those hating on jump sticks are those who either can't use them themselves, or have yet to learn that simply putting blocking ball between the cueball and an object ball doesn't qualify as a good safety...
