I would rather see a great kick then a simple jump shot.

Its easy to play safe on your Chris, just leave you straight in!! LOLchris_williams said:Every organized sport, except pool, has a competition committee to make changes to the game to evolve with the times. Jumping is part of the evolution of the game. You can argue that its easier to jump and takes skill out of the game. I argue that it requires more skill and creativity now to play safe because of jump cues.
Millions of dollars are spent every year on technology to make equipment better (golf clubs, bowling balls, baseball bats etc..) Imagine how boring these sports would be if they were playing with same equipment they were when these games were invented. My guess is that proffesional football players love the fact that they no longer wear leather helmets and are now allowed to wear facemasks.

I can jump just fine and still wish it was outlawed. It takes away from the strategy of the game for one thing. There are other reasons as well, if you need to know them check the 500 other threads about jumping to find out.
