Just a quick introduction...

Hi all. I've been lurking on here for quite a while now and have been a registered member for a month or so. I finally decided to start being involved.

I'm 24 years old, live in Texas, and have been playing for about 10 years. I like playing as many different games as I can, but around here it's tough to find anyone to play anything other than 8 ball or 9 ball (I prefer to play 1 hole or straight pool). I don't gamble much, but will occasionally play some cheap sets/games for anything from $5 to $20 depending on how froggy I'm feeling :D .

So far I've learned a great deal of information from everyone on here and really enjoy reading all the new threads each day. I really look forward to reading the history stories and the action threads.

I look forward to talking with you guys/gals,

Moving to Dallas in a week....if you are in the area, I'll play you some cheap sets in straight, 1pkt, 8, 9, 10, or whatever....

Search function is your friend.....tons of info here....don't be afraid to post....:D
 
Sorry for my asking Jay, but who is Jeremy Jones? Is he a player that you have some interesting stories about, I always look forward to reading your stories:)

Big Perm, I live about an hour and half north of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. I have been wanting to come down there to check out the new pool hall that Incardona is at. I'll give you a shout when/if I make it down and maybe we can play some cheap sets/games.

He's a big sucker who lives in Texas. If you ever run into him, tell him I said so.

Actually he may be the best player in the state. :)
 
Welcome to the board...you will like it here. Most of the people are very nice and well versed in pool.

There are a lot of players in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Myself, I play out of Click's in Arlington, but I'll visit Diamond's in Dallas and sometimes I'll venture to other places!

In fact, Diamond's has a 9-ball tournament tonight (Tuesday) at 7:00pm if you want to come out and meet some people and see some (hopefully) good pool!
 
Thanks for the invite Samiel, but I'm about an hour and a half north of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area in Wichita Falls. It's about 15 minutes from the Red River.

I would like to come down sometime and hit the different pool halls that I hear about on here. But as most people would agree, finding time to get away and do the things you want to do can be difficult sometime.

I will be down there the weekend of September 1st for the Mixed Martial Arts fight that is at the American Airlines Center. Hopefully I can get out of town a little early and have some time to go to the pool halls. Are any of them relatively close to the AA Center and/or W hotel (that's where we're staying)?
