impune the integrity of our sport?
Every week the NFL televises examples of missed calls on the field and the offending teams do everything in their power to get the snap off before the play can be reviewed. Is that looked upon as something denigrating the sport?
Is that why the NFL is doing so poorly?
Does anyone think the offender would be embraced by his teammates, the coaches or his teams fans if he called time out and shouted "hold it I did hit that guy early". Who hasn't heard the statement that there is holding on every play? Is that cheating?
I'm not in favor of cheating but the idea that things like that influence the opinion of "our sport" oh come on!
I seriously doubt if Ryan intended to cheat or thought he did.
If Oscar thought any of those things and did nothing he must have felt it would do no good to protest after the fact. I'm not sure but had he called it the decision would have been the shooters in that case I think.
