Just one cue....

Hiya guys (and gals),

Had some spare time at work today, so thought I'd post up what I have been pondering for awhile now. This is kinda dual-purpose at the moment. I'm window shopping (out of necessity, unfortunately) while, at the same time, taking an "unofficial" poll of sorts....mainly to see where the chips fall.

Here it goes:

If you could have JUST ONE CUE to shoot with, what would it be? Mind you, aesthetics are great....but I'm talking about you owning ONLY one cue...and this would be the cue you would use as a daily player. I would expect certain responses from certain people (scruggsinhand and nick serdula would, OBVIOUSLY, choose Meucci!! :) ), but I'm curious to see what all the cue fanatics have to say.

So.....forget dollar values....forget how many inlays you can cram into it....just go off of "hit and feel" alone.

WHERE DO YOU STAND?

My Choice?

I have been playing with a Kikel since 1999. I have owned Black Boar, Tim Scruggs, Espiritu, Phillippi, Bob Frey, Joss, DeRoo, and have hit with everything you can think of. I purchased a Jim Buss Titlist conversion cue from Mystic Cue Fan and it plays like a dream. I have put the Kikel up for now. I also just recieved an Edwin Reyes AzB cue that I am playing with now and then. The Titlist felt right the moment I picked it up. I don't think I will ever get rid of it.

Whats funny is Scruggsinhand was shooting with a Bluegrass a portion of the night last night.

As for me, Id go with just about any cue, even cheaper ones, as long as I could choose a "special" shaft.

Are U Asking

Are you asking what would be my LAST Cue to sell in Tought Times.? If so that is a tough question...

My Runde But ,,, I need to buy a doz 12mm shafts from him to put up for the up coming years !!

I used to play exclusively with a Schon, after trying just about every production cue, but when I bought a BCM my whole perception of hit changed and I would definitely keep that one.

Tough choice

Tough choice but I would suggest three that all play in the same neighborhood.Scruggs,Mottey, and Tascarella. Can't go wrong with any of the three.:)

I would more than likely go with a Bender cue.
Love the feedback I get from the cue.

Alpine- got any pics of your cue? Ive been tossing the idea around of a ebony cue w/ bacote points.

But to answer your question Rat, I have only 3 playing cues and if I could have just one, it'd be my classic 4 pt veneered cue w/ SS joint and ivory ferrule.

Wish list: although ive never hit w/ one, based on then many "best hitting cue" posts here on the forum- a full splice Tascarella or a Hercek are cues to be considered.

A Plain Ol'

Hercek . . . .

I'm with Myron. I have two Benders--one with an ebony joint and one with an ivory joint--and I love them both.

If money wasn't a option I'd say a nice scruggs.

As it is I really like my dz sneaky or a schon.

Wow.....talk about diversity!!! Bump it up for the night crew...interested in all the inputs I can get!
