Kamui Black Verdict?

This is near the sale pitch I got from John at Kamuitips if it helps.
Kamui black vs kamui 2's: The difference being the curing process. The Kamui Black is waterproofed better therefore not changing as much due to high humidity climate change. They are generally going to be a harder tip, but carry the same characteristics. They should also last longer. If that helps at all

Im currently playing for years with Moori M, and read all the enthousiastic comments about the Kamui so i want to tried it see if it works out for me. What tip would suit me the best if i played with Moori M?

And what are the differences between the normale Kamui's and Kamui black except for the black color?

You'll find this helpful when trying to match up tips from different makers.

I bought a Med. Black and didn't care for it. I went back and bought a regular Kamui hard and liked it a lot better. (Didn't get the feel or feedback off the medium that I like)

I had been playing with a moori quick for some time now.I decided to bite the bullet and spend $20 for a Kamui Black hard.I installed the kamui black and left it the original height instead of cutting about 1/3 to 1/2 off, like I would normally do.Just so I could see if it was gonna mushroom a little or get a little loose.I burnished it just a few passes to get it slick and shiny.I guess after I got it ready I played for a couple of hrs and it never moved a bit.So after I decided it was gonna work out ,I cut it in half so it wouldn't be so tall. The only drawback I have is if your used to a moori quick and are going to a Kamui Black, then you need to get a Kamui Black medium, because in my opinion the Kamui Black hard is a little firm as I tend to miscue more often than normal on extreme cases such as power draw shots and such.

Kamui Black's suck.

Stick with the Kamui II MS or somthing similar.

Sniper is also a good choice, as well.

Kamui Black's suck.

I guess everybody has their own opinion about everything whether it's tips, cues, tables, cases or anything else.Whatever works for ya.

True.

Some people like these tips. I absolutely HATED them, and changed them after 1 session of play. I got the Black "S" tips, and even they did not hold chalk. I miscued more in that session than I have in a month!!! Also note that this was after repeated scuffing/manicuring of the tip, so there should have been no way this would happen with a normal tip.

I like the Kamui II's (MS or S) better than the Sniper, and I thought that was the best tip out there in terms of feel and grip. I will be changing back to those and not even thinking about trying a different tip for a LONG TIME!!!

The Kamui Blacks remind me of "New Coke", and sucked almost as bad!!!

Agree that KB do not hold chalk very well, could be due to the black dye.
Even with scruffing or picking, the tip just do not hold chalk well.
Never had soo much miscues with any other tip before.

Had it for less than a week, and changed back to Kamui II MS.
