Kamui tip, I just tried one.can't believe it !

I'm just waiting for "Bad Blood: Geno vs Coco" as TAR 21 :)

Who will be betting on Team Monkey?
Who will be betting on Team Aiming Systems?

I might actually show up to watch that one live! :)

Brian

I've seen Gene shoot. Team monkey would soon be on the indangered list:grin:

I am pretty shocked at how many people like the Kamui Black Super Soft. I felt it did almost the opposite of what was advertised. I picked one up based on all the AZ hype and shot with it for about 5 hours. For some reason I can get much more english and control with the everest/moori on my other shafts. Its also absolutely filthy when you shape it. I would recommend that you only put a Kamui on your backup shaft until your convinced its amazing.

OMG you do not think the KAMUI is great.:p Well when I first moved to Arizona there was a guy who last name was "HAIL" he was winning everything that was not nail to the floor.

I asked him one day what Tip he used, and the answer surprised me as the Morri's were the hot ticket at the time.

His reply was LePro.;) He also played with a PJ McDermott Cue, FYI.;)

You're a funny guy CC.
What Gene is trying to show us possibly is how to use something we are born with to our better advantage.
Our eyes are not a magic trick or Gizmo, altho they are pretty amazing.

Its like, we are born with two arms. Your stroke is one of, if not the most important part of your game. An instructor can correct a bad stroke and help you pot more balls.

And what good is a great stroke if you don't or can't see the balls properly?

Why are people buying billiard glasses and having special contact lenses made for them?
So they can see the table better, right.

Gene is helping people see the balls better.

"None so blind as those who will not see"

Thats for you CC. See if you can figure it out. Somehow, I doubt it.

Its like you mentioned that your neighbor can take a block of bass wood and carve a bird from it but you can't.
Your neighbor has a natural talent and a minds eye that can see a bird take shape before he puts the chisel to the block.
Liken that to someone who has a natural talent at the pool table and can see things that others have a harder time seeing.

Also, back when the CTE threads started to gain momentum, wasn't it you that posted that you tried it out on your own and you were hyping it up. I think so. If I had more time to go thru a half million CTE threads, I might try and look your posts up.

This is LOL on so many levels.

Would it be ok if I try a Kamui even though you once knew a guy who shot good with a lepro?

Maybe you should as COCO

You know he does kind of spice up the threads.

I miss him on the threads where I talk about aiming.

For awhile I didn't hear from him and I was afraid something happened to him.

Glad to see he's fine and back in true form.

Keep up the good worl Cowboy. We need you on here.

It seems like I've heard a lot of reviews that the black SS is too soft and mushy and the black medium is way too hard, so it sounds like the black soft must be the way to go. I also don't think I've read a poor review of the black soft.

i had been using an elkmaster milk dud but decided to give the kamui black medium a go.
All i can say is i hated it.too spongy and didnt hold chalk that well.maybe it needs some $25 a pop kamui gold dust chalk??
Anyway i cut it off and put a Tiger Everest tip on that i had in my box.....what a tip.great hit/holds chalk and holds its shape well..its been on about 3 weeks and its still playing the same as the day i installed it.

I had the opposite experience. My medium black hit a little harder than any medium rated tip I ever used. Sounds like some of the Kamuis are inconsistent. I was hoping that wasn't the case, because I like the one I have.

Think like many on AZB you too missed the point I was trying to make, and the Point was Arizona's Top Player several years ago shot with a PJ McDermott Cue, with Leather Wrap, with a LePro Tip.

I wish I could play Pool as that good as that fellow, but than he put a lot more time in practicing than I did.;)

Another point to consider if a Kamui Tip was the holey grail of tips why would Atlas Billiards Supply , Sterling Gaming, or Mueller's, etc., to bother to carry many other TIPS in Inventory besides the Kamuri Tip?

Last observation I will make is some time the "sale pitch" has more meat in it than the product does, I say this having pitch a fair share of "no stick cookware", at the LA County Fair years ago.

Yes the "no stick feature worked everytime' if the consumer "seasoned the pan each use", like I did in the demo.

Ah, so you're admitting that you were once a Huckster?
Did you feel good about yourself, stealing peoples carnival ride money?

Myself, I couldn't sleep at night knowing that other peoples eggs didn't slide out of the pan like you told them they would.
Better change your name to Cocobolo Huckster.

No I was not a "Huckster" but we demo a product that worked if you season it each time you used it. Yes when you wash a PTFE Pan the seasoning washes off be it Vegetable, or Olive Oil, or Lard. We even gave instruction with our pans saying to season they before each use. Yes the product work like we demoed them if you followed instructions.

Don't try and back peddle your way out now, Mr. Cocobola Huckster.

Maybe you can be a salesman for Le Poof Tips. Tell people that the cue ball will slide off the tip like no other.

I'm going to ask Mr. Wilson if he will change your name.
Maybe we can call you Corn Huckster.

I have my own personal choice for the BEST TIPS IMHO UNDER $10.00, but it is a secret...LOL.

Blue Hog ridr, get a Black HOG it is a REAL MAN's COLOR..LOL

One of the GREATEST Player of All times, who many Records still stand was Willie Mosconi. He had no Super Tips, Super Shafts, or $25.00 a CUBE Chalk, and I personally would trade all my Cues, Cases, and doo dads for Willie's skill, and ability to FOCUS on each ball I shoot.

Think many times Pool Player like Golfers, etc. are looking for magic equipment, and fail to realize winning Player, and golfer Win because of skill, and focus, and not what equipment they are using.

JMHO

But what if he had??? Would we be talking 726 instead of 526?

I agree with you Gene. I have a Kamui Med (brown) on my 314-2 which is attached to my Richard Black and it is by far hands down the best feeling combination I have come up with.

I have my own personal choice for the BEST TIPS IMHO UNDER $10.00, but it is a secret...LOL.

Well, my secret is a tip that has 5 layers and is well under one dollar.

I can tell you that this particular tip will do everything that a 35 dollar tip can do, and it has the potential to last well over a year plus with some serious use.

I know you will bite on this because you can't resist a good deal.
PM me CC and I might consider telling you.

Find another FISH, as I like what work for me, and see ZERO REASON TO CHANGE.
