I agree Ried. Although I can't guarantee people will like the Ultra Skins, I guarantee my own installations. If I recommend a tip in general or let's say lately, I have been recommending Skins, I guarantee that my customer will like the tip or I will replace it with any tip of their choice.
So far, no one has taken me up on the offer.
This, coupled with comments on AZ by members that have tried them and like them over Kamui tips, then I can pretty much guarantee that if someone
that is not currently happy with the Kamui tip that is on their shaft, they will be very pleased with the new Skins.
For players that want the best, then an extra $10 or $15 dollars isn't going to bother most people much.
But, when someone puts out that kind of money that normally wouldn't spend that much on a tip but want to try them out, just like expensive chalk, and after a certain amount of time, that tip doesn't perform to what they hoped or heard or expected from a hyped tip, then they are going to be mucho disappointed.
That is why the players that have been trying the Skins seem to be very pleased with the results. Even players that were previously happy with Kamui tips but opted for a try out on a Skin are staying with the Skins.
Obviously when they play as well as a Kamui does in their opinion and a person can buy 2, maybe even 3 Skins for the price of one Kamui tip, then it's easy to figure out which tip they are going to stay with.
This is what happens when a product is over hyped. Eventually a new dog on the block will show up and they get to sit on the porch until they figure out what just happened.
John Bertone told me that I should be installing Kamui tips for $50.
Although, I want the best products for my customers, I also wouldn't ever consider trying to sell them them tips for 50 bucks no matter what they were.
That and why would I intentionally cut into my profit margin that much just for the privilege of stocking Kamui tips when I can stock Skins, give my customers a great tip and still keep my profits above what I would make if I were stocking Kamuis.
It has come to the point now that people that weren't previously customers of mine, are coming up to me on League night and asking for the same tip that I put on so and so's shaft.
It's just way too easy.
