According to AZ Billiards home page Karen Corr has beaten the men again. This time in New Hampshire. Way to go karen..............mike

I think you'd do well in the long run to pick Karen in every tournament. She is one of the best female players i've ever seen and she's beaten some top male pros on more than one occassion.
 
I'm feeling very lucky!

We live close to Karen and my dad got me a two hour lesson from her for my birthday. She has been very nice in setting up an appointment around our schedules. Hope she is still as nice once she sees how much help I need.

Way to go Karen! Best of luck in Vegas! See you in early June.

Does anyone know if Julie Kelly is compeating in these same tournaments? Karen is a World Champion,regardless of her sex,and it should be no surprise when she whacks opponents.
 
Invite her to the World Championship already!!

Tap...Tap...Tap... I have been saying this for years. She is one of the best players alive right at this moment and it's long overdue for the WPC to give her an invite.

Julie was not at this particular tournament. She does compete regularly on the Joss tour as does Karen.

Several of my friends were there and said Karen played absolutely awesome.

couldn't happen to a nicer, more deserving person

I've had the good fortune to meet Karen, observe her, and spend some time around her. She played a couple Joss events and spent the better part of a week at the former Bristol Billiards here in CT, when she and Julie took lessons from Santos Sambajon.

I only wish that Karen would smile more on camera. She appears to be scowling, giving the impression that she's grumpy and unhappy. This couldn't be more misleading-- in person she is a delightful person to be around. For someone who is one of the best in the world at what she does, she is awfully down to earth, humble and friendly.

I will always pull for Karen, no matter who she's matched up against (except perhaps Santos) and wish her continued success.

Well, in another discussion, I see that in 2006 she, Allison Fisher and Jeanette Lee were invited to play but declined the invitation. A rather strange situation, and bordering on the incredible, but that's what was said in the other thread.

We can not be sure about that because one would think that Karen at least would jump at the chance. If she only knew how many people want her in that tournament.....

Bob.....could it be that maybe the powers that be behind the WPBA won't let them accept an invitation. I am not trying to be a smart ass or anything. Just wondering if anybody knows if that happened is all................mike
