Has anyone tried the Katana shafts that just came out on the market? I am interested in hearing opinions on the shaft.
I have an account with CueStix International Co. (wholesale distribution company), which have the Katana shafts made for them. Katana is a Low Deflection (LD) segmented shaft with a great radial hit distribution. The low deflection is very much like the McDermott I-2 LD shaft. Probably not as LD as the OB-1 or 2, or the 314-2 or Z-2 shafts. The quality is great (including a protective sock and the cost is much less than either OB or Predator. I have a 5/16x14 w silver ring I bought to try out and use as a demo and have taken orders for them already!
Interesting that the logo plays the "pi" symbol just like Predator plays the "314" reference. I wonder if the greek pi symbol has any meaning as an asian script?

How the hell can you walk into a bar and try and be sneaky with all these dead giveaways right on the shaft? They should make a "sneaky" version of LD shafts. Even if they charge a little more for it.
Id sand that insignia off that as soon as I got it. That thing is awfull. Worse than the 0b1 ferrulle. Why cant someone make a Ld shaft that isnt ugly?

How do these shafts compare to say a predator 3142 as far as added cue ball spin/control?
