Anybody that played pool in Dallas/Fort Worth area knew Kelly (Sidewinder). He was quite a man, and I'm proud to say he was my friend. He will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.

sidewinder was quite a individual and a friend to all in the pool community. He
was a great pool detective who always could find the bright side in any situation.

Goodbye Kelly - #1 pool enthusiast and detective !!

One of DFW's most enthusiastic pool fans has left the room. For most of his life Kelly lived and breathed pool. If I ever wanted to know what was happening in DFW's pool scene, I could call Kelly and get a full report.

He was a good friend and a fellow pool nut. When a big pool match is going on, it will be unusual to look around and not see him sweating the action.

Goodbye, Kelly, we will miss you.

Robert

If he was around 57 years old, went to Sam Houston High School (Class of 72-ish), played basketball, had a brother or two, lived about 2 or three houses down the street from Corinne Crow elementary school (Arlington) during part of his high-school days, I once did an all-nighter in his parents garage shooting pool with he and his brother and just hanging out with a number of friends, including the Russell twins, Brad & Burt. We played a bit of basketball at the Meadowbrook Recreation Center back then too!!! Cannot think of his brothers' name and which one was the oldest, but the oldest one was a year younger than I and the other was 2 or 3 years younger than I (I am now 58). If this is the Kelly Seaman I knew back then, please PM me with more info on his passing, if you don't mind.

Sorry for your loss. I know how you are feeling as we just buried our mother today.
