Anyone have any idea about KF cue ? price range , playability ?
I know that they are sponsor of GYK and XTP
Thank you.:D

I once had a KF break cue. It was quite inexpensive but it broke quite nice, then it warped quite nicely, like a nice banana. The shaft is going to make a nice firewood poker, while the butt is going to be cut and made into nice ring work.

Save your nice hard earned money and buy something from someplace nice that won't warp.

I play with a KF ( Kaofa) cue and have for several years. I like it and have had no problems with warpage or any other defects. Prices when I go mine ranged from about $150 to $800. Not sure about now.

Their higher end cues are semi-custom made. Designs are fixed, but customer can specify joint. tip dia, shaft taper, weight, wrap, etc. I like mine and recommend

Kao Fa Cues

I have a carom cue from them that warped in the butt, nothing worse than a warped butt! When I contacted them about it they told me they only warantee against defects for 90 days. After some barking and several posts here on AZ they made good on the deal and that was that. Would I do business with them again absoultely NOT. All my billiard items will be bought within the USA that way if there are any issues they can be addressed without shipping items back overseas which is expensive & time consuming as well as frustrating. If you are in China perhaps the service from them would be better but they treated me like crap until several people intervened on my behalf....

Yeah, it started life out as a KFC cue, but had the C rubbed off. Sold by the bucketful and come in several different flavors and finishes. Some have a very regular hit and some can be classified as crisp or extra-crisp.

Now that one made my night .. Thanks !!

Taiwanese no name-brand cues play very well. Yes I'm including KF in that criteria. A lot of them are SW replicas and look fairly decent for the price of about 150-300, and are fairly good players. Just throw on a good tip and you're good to go. But honestly, "good or bad cues" is a very subjective issue when you go beyond the 300 dollar range.

I wonder why a brand who sponsors player like GYK , XTP and even Chao Fong Fang does not try to expand their market to overseas, I sent a message to ask them about the price of some beautiful SW replica but doesnt get any respond lol.

Chao Fong Pang is sponsored by KF? He's always had that beautiful ivory/ebony Gino cue, but maybe he changed.. he hasn't been playing much lately. But to your question, I don't think the market here will be very good for KF Cues as the selection of cues are just too great here in America. China is becoming a huge market for pool in these past few years and I think its big enough to support a company of their size.

oh so the goncalves into pau ferro ( or smt like that  ) that I saw in some videos is the real SW . . And now she play with a "fancy" KF :).

yup im pretty sure. before she started making decent finishes she moved to taiwan to practice and play in the league there and im sure she ended up with a SW :) southwest cues goes around the professional players in taiwan like a sorority sister to a college fraternity.

Chao was in the past sponsored by KaoFa but I think that stopped several years ago after he moved to Shanghai. When I have seen him play in Shanghai he still used his KF cue, Model LE001, which is ebony/alternate ivory with little stars in the forearm.

Haven't followed Chao in awhile, but him and Yang will always be my favorite players. Are you from Thailand? Do you happen to have caught the Ko Pin Yi vs Orcullo game in the Brunswick Bangkok Open?

I am from US but live in Thailand now. Before Thailand lived in Shanghai for long time. In Shanghai played in room where Chao was house pro.

Did not see Ko Pin Yi/Orcullo match.

I see, hows the pool scene in Thailand? I know some Taiwanese pool coaches are going to the southeast Asian countries to promote the sport. China grew so much in the last few years in pool. Lots of up and coming stars and a huge pool market.

GYK is use SW, I think.....
KF too expensive, if u want me spend bet 150-800, I would get a average custom cue on AZ!!

As far as I no, only Singapore have TW pro-coach, In china, there r too many...........

Lots of pool in Bangkok and Pattaya. Otherwise, not much pool around. I am in Chiang Mai and only pool room here closed in January. Lots of snooker rooms and pool on converted small snooker tables in bars.

Where are you??
