Read the Rail way back. Good but Liked Danny's "Running the Table" even better.

Both great books. I read 'Playing off the rail' back in the mid nineties when it first came out ... loved it, loaned it to a friend and never got it back. Last year I bought a used copy from Amazon for less than the shipping charges and read it again. 'Running the Table' had me glued to it and I even started "slow reading" toward the end as I didn't want it to end. Sure wish Danny would get back into the game.

Danny isn't playing too much these days, he is giving some lessons though.

He spends most weekends doing baseball card swap meets which has been a passion for him for quite some time. He's good at it! ;)

There is some possible big news for him. :thumbup:

He just returned last week from LA where he signed a 4 year deal with Warner Bros to do a weekly sitcom about his life. Not a reality show but with actors, instead.

Danny said that WB has done more in a few weeks than Lionsgate did in more than 5 years.

As history has shown us, you just never know if this project will take flight but WB had to do some rights buying and a contract with Danny, presumably not to sit on their hands..

Kid Delicious has had an extraordinarily exciting pool life and I hope this project and he will meet with much success. :cool:

Brian, Kickin Chicken, or Gator Boat Man, (who won't sell it to me), is about the closest tie.

He will most likely see this and give you any updates if possible. Danny is/was selling cars, driving Taxi, who knows so your guess is as good as anyones today.

BTW Brian, I still want that autographed picture. Not you, Danny. I know what you look like.

Cool, thanks. I seriously hope yer sending me Gator Boat, yes? I would spend half the day fishing and half the day making people wet with big Rooster Tails.

Now, this TV deal. Danny is going to be in it, I take it. Like I said, he has a wonderful personality and I would bet that he has what it takes to be on TV.
 
I do hope Danny is staying in touch with the game in a comfortable way.

Well Danny showed up at the Joss Tour Final at Zuglans room May 20, 2000.

He was all slimmed down and his hair was kind of orange !

He plowed through one side of the of the loaded bracket

and I came out the other side for the hot seat match !

I sent him over and he came back to play me again in the final.

I snapped it off !!!

Biggest win of my abbreviated career !

So it's easy for me to say it was always fun playing Danny.

Beat him once more in Conn. event early round to make it 3-0 with the Kid.
