Anyone out there know how he is doing? What he's been up too? Is he healthy? Is he playing?

After reading Danny's book, it isn't hard to just like the guy no matter if you've ever met him or not. I read the book real slow cause I didn't want it to end.

It left you wanting for another book.

Brian, Kickin Chicken, or Gator Boat Man, (who won't sell it to me), is about the closest tie.

He will most likely see this and give you any updates if possible. Danny is/was selling cars, driving Taxi, who knows so your guess is as good as anyones today.

BTW Brian, I still want that autographed picture. Not you, Danny. I know what you look like.

Thanks for the post!! I've read that book 20 times!!! Hopefully he is doing well and he is healthy

^^^^^ Agree with this. Just read it again on a flight across the US. If I could pick someone to hang with for a day playing, it would be Danny! The book does a great job detailing his pool playing career and battles with his demons.

I started a thread about Danny after I read his book, which I enjoyed immensely, and one of the posters said the cab days are over. I don't know what he is doing but I sure wish he would pick up a cue and get back in the game.

Nicest

Danny is one of the nicest guys to ever play the game.He let out a roar one time at the US Open after beating Earl. He didn't do it to be obnoxious it was just a natural case of being excited. Every time we would see him after that we would yell out his name and he would Roar back. He truly is a nice guy. I hope he can find his way back to Pool .

I saw Danny show up to a Joss tourney without a cue, borrowed one and won the event (HOW STRONG IS THAT) When Danny was hittin em he was tough to beat

He wasn't that slow..... he just needed to wipe his neck down 3 or 4 times between each shot:cool:

i got to meet danny at an event in myrtle beach a few years back. hands down nicest guy ever. funny guy, and he spent time with pretty much every person in the room. he's the kind of guy that gives you individual attention, and that's rare these days.
would love to know how he's doing.

What is the name of the book???

Danny is a high quality human being. I pray for his good health and happiness. Here he is on You Tube shilling for his book @ The Super Billiards Expo in 2008... LOL. Nice guy for sure.

Hope to see him back in the saddle soon.

Playing Off The Rail

To everyone mentioning how much they liked the book... Have y'all read "playing off the rail"? I really liked it, but I'm just now starting kid delicious. Now I'm even more excited to read it.

Hope you guys don't do martinis or you'll be a couple of sorry looking Dudes like you and Matt that evening, or very early morning when that pic was taken.

I got Playing off the Rail for Christmas. Just started it actually and if the rest of the book is like the first few pages, then it will be a gooder like Danny's.

Just a few pages in and its got a hold of me pretty good.
