I order or commission (2) cues per year, I like to talk cues and enjoy going over the cue details and getting to know the cuemaker.

I just met with Dave Kikel, and my friends, Jamie (Worminator) recommended him highly. Dave and I "clicked" on what I wanted and what he felt comfortable supplying. ( I demand/want absolutely great shaftwood and want them to weigh at least 4.0 and be best available, and want outstanding, interesting veneers.)

I asked Dave for delivery on or before my birthday, December 6th, as it will be my birthday present to myself. I can't express how anxious I am for this Kikel cue. While I look forward to all of my cues coming, I am really really looking forward for this interesting and different one from Dave. He seemed just as excited about building it as I do about getting it.

Next year will be a great year, Showman cue in March, Kikel in December.

Its good to be me....LOL

You will enjoy it and find that you have found the cue. I bought one from Jamie and sad to say that I no longer desire to buy another cue. Still enjoy looking.

I weighed the shafts and both are 4.1 oz.

You won't be disapointed. He does great work. I hope you got joint protectors. I love his work on joint protectors. Butterflycues

Update on Kikel.

As I mentioned, seldom do most cuemakers hit their schedule. I called to see how Dave was doing on my cue and he said he is thinking he will have it mid year, possibly 3-4 months AHEAD of schedule.
